You know, if you turn the back of the base station so the slots are facing forward you can pass the coupler through the hole and lay it on the appropriate step, hope it helps.

I tried that and it is too big to fit

How does this compare to the Tecsun AN-200?

Performance is a lot like my coupling loop I made. I wonder if you put a ferrite bead or choke on the cable would help out. I would buy it just for the cool connectors. I’d like to play with the ferrite coupler one.

Greetings to you, my dear brother, and thank you for your effort in the channel to clarify the information and to explain adequately about the details of the short waves. And please explain, can I use this antenna tuner ATU-100 100W 1.8-50MHz Automatic Antenna Tuner in receiving short waves, how is this done, and can it be replaced with the intel mentioned in this video

I wonder iff you could substitute a shielded cable for the wire connecting the loop to the amp to cut down on the noise?

1. is is a active or passive antenna? Will it work on other radios?
@TheMajkla

Hi, this is an active loop. A passive is anything like the AN-200 (not powered).
@leejandsue

you use the ferrite bar to make it passive (not connected to the radio)

When you tune your radio why don't you tune to the right frequency? Like why not tune to 960 and not 961.

PL-680 is 1 kHz off.. that is why it is off tuned in the display

@@OfficialSWLchannel Strange a radio would be designed that way.

It was not calibrated correctly when it was built and the specs do say the frequency precision + - 1 kHz

@@OfficialSWLchannel For me I would need the frequency to match exactly what the radio is set on.

I believe you're wrong about the antenna length being the cause of signal degradation. You got to remember when you hold something in your hand such as an antenna, you become part of the circuit. Just like the old rabbit ears you move them you get a good picture your step back in the picture goes to crap why because you were part of the antenna circuit. Just think about it.

not at all the problem here, this antenna is bad

Also you are comparing TV that is VHF and UHF that has an effect that does not exist at shortwave frequencies

@@OfficialSWLchannel if you're asking me a question, I am merely stating a scientific fact, when you touch part of a circuit you are part of the circuit. It doesn't matter if you have UHF VHF ssf for PHS it don't matter if the waves go through your body you are part of the circuit. That's it. Think about it

The wire is not shielded. That's a pity but fixable.
