Saw her once in Massey Hall in Toronto, some time in the 90's, I couldn't get any of my friends interested, so i went by myself. i couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe the power in her voice, and her performance was like 3 hours long. One of the best live music experiences of my life.

Another gem from Canada! What an amazingly powerful song..."and as she drives she rubs her rosary; she's never been so all alone, she's never been so free"...."'Cos there's another chance, a someday soon, shining like the Alabama moon..." sung with a voice unique, powerful, forthright and beautiful. I can imagine some one stuck in the horror of her own Virgil Spencer nightmare feeling inspired and empowered to leave after hearing this masterpiece of musical beauty. OMG.

Just saw Amanda this weekend at Casino Rama! She just keeps getting better. Apparently she's been embroiled in a law suit with the management she fired in 2002 (& recording label). The lawsuit is on-going & whenever everything is settled she will be back. She's compiled a great deal of new material in the last 8 years & has been working in the studio. I get the impression we won't have to wait too much longer.

I think the key to her popularity is not just that she's extremely talented at writing and performing and not to mention not so hard to look at but it's also the angle she takes on her music. This song could have been a sad song about domestic abuse but she took the positive angle and spun it around to inspire others to make changes and take chances when others try to hold you down. Brilliant!!! And she does it with damn near every song! Positivity that's what she's about.

This Song was a Top 20 Hit on Adult Radio and it almost broke the Top 40 on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart, but it did on Radio and Records and plus, this song is so cool and so smooth, I use to listen to this song when I was in High School and boy do I remember it very well b/c I use to listen to this song on Casey's Top 40 with Casey Kasem and thanks to Casey's Top 40, I'm glad that I can relive this moment and this is what I call REAL Music, not some of the Pop Music Today with no meanings.

For all the talent that Amanda has her cds have not sold well here, she sells better in Canada. After her third release her record company dropped her and why she hasn't had another record company sign her IS THE BIGGEST MYSTERY EVER. She does acouple of gigs a year, but with all this talent she has pretty much fallen off the face of the earth. It's sad and the only answer is may be she likes it like it is. WHAT A WASTE OF PURE TALENT. PEACE, AMANDA I LOVE YOU AND STILL HOPE.

Every artist has recordings that don't sell wello, the questions is how can not ONE RECORD COMPANY PICK UP A ARTIST THAT HAS THIS MUCH TALENT. She's in limbo with most people not missing her until they hear one of her songs, then it's like that girl could sing, "what happend to her" We don't know. I have to feel it's Amanda not wanting to perform because I CAN'T SEE A RECORD COMPANY PASSING ON ONE OF THE BEST VOICES IN 20 YEARS.

I can well imagine that she won't have a record company telling her what to sing. Rightly so! Why doesn't she release a DVD from a live gig? She can afford to - doesn't seem to get many tunes wrong! I'd buy in an instant - and if it was from some website. That's something good on the internet! I'd help spread in Germany and bordering countries - that's all I can offer.

To me I was upset for years because I just thin she has something that female singers would kill for. It's that voice. It's my guess and it's only a guess that she is doing what she wants and is off the radar not because no record company wants her, but beacuse she likes being off the radar. She told the people at one of her concerts that she doesn't have a my space page and likes laying low. Amanda just come back and DO ONE MORE RECORD, JUST ONE MORE? Please!!!!!

- in this fake world of Antares AutoTune -induced over-pretty pop stars that sound fine in albums but are terrible out of tune in live shows (Enrique Iglesias / pssy cat dolls for example) - this Grand Lady of power rock singing is REAL. She really really really is that good. (And for those who do not know, Antares AutoTune is a nifty tool for studio engineers, that can make even Daisy The Cow to sing in tune, any melody they want. It is commonly used in RnB / Pop records nowdays)
