Really appreciate the ways you break down information and organise it. Also really like the way you colour your videos too along with your LUTs.

In all honestly I'm getting tired of reviewers just pointing lights at a wall only a few feet away... can you actually take this outside and lightup a car from 30 ft away or something similar? that's way more helpful for me to gauge how powerful these things are. just some friendly advice... other than that issue, great reviews.

The 300c is a great buy! I've been on many shoots with my buddy that uses one for client work and we don't even use it at full power indoors. Waiting for that 30% black friday discount + additional 10% off as first time customer. I can't wait to get mine!

as a professionnal, getting a lighter light is actually something i would pay as much money than the 600C. When moving lights during a shoot, it is a pain, and sometimes almost gets me lazy to move it. So the 300C seems quite cool. only downside is the buttons on the light... nothing on an external controller. and using an app is often a pain

Odd question, is there a Pelican Case with similar dimensions that the foam case can be dismantled and placed inside of?

How many of these would I need to light up a kitchen? I think it's smaller than 10 sqm (~100 sqf). I'm looking to improve lighting conditions to shoot at lower apertures. Maybe a weird question, but not sure how to phrase it better 😀

Can Amaran 150C & 300C be used to take pictures? As far as I know, almost all Aputure Amaran LED models have banding problems when taking pictures. Including Aputure Amaran F22C at shutter speeds of 1/800, 1/1000s, 1/2000s... and other faster electronic shutters or electronic front curtain shutters, flicker and banding will appear in photos or videos. Although this kind of high-speed shutter is generally not used for filming, this problem affects high-speed video recording and photography This problem happens with many different models of Aputure amaran LEDs, but not with other brands, I don't know why it only happens with Aputure LEDs. I was unable to find an Aputure query and they did not respond to my request for assistance at all. 300C seems to be a very useful LED for photography, but if it cannot be used for general mirrorless camera shooting, it will be a major problem

I use them for photography no banding whatsoever. What type of photography do you do to use those shutter speeds? Most portrait photographers I know use 200 max. Like what percent of photographers are doing somehow high speed photography in a small self contained studio environment 😂

@@HAlariousInc Do you mean that your 300C has not encountered this banding problem? I mainly use it for shooting aerial sports, so I need a faster shutter speed, and the Canon cameras require electronic shutters for high-speed continuous shooting.😔 A friend of mine bought a 300C. I just tested and confirmed that the electronic shutter of the 300C will have obvious flicker and banding at 1/800s or above, and there will also be slight horizontal stripes at lower shutter speeds, which will affect the quality of the photo, such as 1/400s. I tried Aputure 6 models LED have always had this problem, I'm not sure if all Aputure amaran 300C have flickering and banding, or only this 300C has banding problem. I also tried Zhiyun two models of LED, all electronic shutters(1/200s-1/8000s) did not have the flickering problem similar to Aputure.

@@haklittle3598 Ah aerial sport photography. Didn’t cross my mind…makes sense to be hitting those speeds. I’m saying I don’t encounter the problem bc I never shoot those speeds. I have the F22C and the 120dii and I shoot 1/200 and lower. I wasn’t sure what type of photography someones does that would need such high shutter speeds. Whenever I do have banding issues, I use the variable shutter speed function on my camera

@@HAlariousInc The banding is likely the same issue that can cause flickering under certain conditions of shooting video. @photojoseph has an excellent video from about four years ago explaining how and why this happens and how to solve it. Go search his channel for "flicker" to find it. From the shutter speeds that you're shooting at it does not sound like the amaran lights are the right solution for you. I would recommend higher wattage LEDs or even tungsten lights to shoot with to avoid the banding issue you're describing. It is common with many budget level LED sources.

are they brighter than the amaran 60x?
@shadowshapers
Жыл бұрын
Yes definitely. The 60x has a max power output of 65 Watts, the 150c a maximum power output of 150 watts, and the 300c a maximum power output of 300 watts. It's almost like the lights are named after how many watts of output they produce at full intensity 😉
