Great collection! I can admire big collections like this but I wouldn’t want a collection this big, I think it’s a pain in the but to keep 5 tractors going let alone 50 tractors. A lot of people that complain about collections being split up or these tractors going back to work also prob are the ones that sell tractors that haven’t ran in 20 or 30 years. They are tractors, run them!

Isn't there a Indian casino up there? I welded. At Allis Chalmers for 7 years in Laporte, In. From 1976 to 1983. Implement division. My last job was on the 8000 series cabs. Loved it the whole time I was there. I was 22 when I hired in. We had a high employment at 3,200 hourly .

Damnit... I had a AC 6060 2wd cab tractor. She was a little rough from being used to run an air-blast pesticide sprayer in apple orchards for about 20 years, but despite the body being a little rough and crusty in the cab areas, everything important worked fine. Instead of cleaning her all up and re-painting her, I sold it a few years ago when money was kinda tight. I sure wish I hadn't.

It's nice to see well cared for and restored machines, but to me it feels wrong when I see them all clean and just for show. I've spent what seems a million hours on a 190 and it would make me very sad to ever find out she had stopped working and had become a show tractor.

What a collection, brings back many memory's. We started farming with two WC's, one was the Arm Strong Crank and the other an electric start. Had the two bottom trip plows, trip mounted two row cultivator and two row mounted picker. Then added a WD,, D17, 185, 210 and a 7080 as the acreage grew, in NW Ohio. My dad a mechanic at Gulf Oil and I, over hauled the WD with a different cam and higher compression pistons. It would pull a three bottom plow in 3rd gear if you wanted to. Never had problem with any of them. What a part of history with Allis-Chalmers, that doesn't in my estimation, get the attention it deserved. Memories!

Why didn't fiat take off in the USA. Or hesston fiat. There were huge here in Ireland in the 80's 90,s it was the first tractor people bought new during the boom. They were legendary in the the bog and wet ground and great for pulling. The fiat 110-90 blue tradition sells more for then what it cost new now.

Please don't think I'm slamming the guy. I'm a life long AC fan. I can't image such a collection. But that warehouse blows me away. I know how big these tractors are. The building looks plenty roomy for more tractors and its size dwarfs the tractors. Good job feller.

Allis Chalmers is now AGCO, = Allis Gleaning Co. or Corp. With the many tractor lines that AGCO has bought out, I may be correct in saying that AGCO is today the worlds largest producer of tractors.

We have a 1984 6070 with around 4000 original hours. It was bought brand new around 1988 from Scott Machinery company in Hillsboro, Oregon. It's used as the main work horse on a small family dairy farm here in Tillamook, Oregon. After 15 years it needed some body structure added in underneath to stiffen things up as it wasn't really designed stout enough for rough, dairy farm field work. Mechanically it's been solid, we've never had any major issues other than putting clutches in it a couple years ago. My dad grew up around AC's, so he loves this tractor.
