Hmm. Garnets are naturally prettier because they have more facets, and generally a cleaner luster. We have rubies here, and they all have a dull, raspberry collor

When you opened the door on Dylan, that was funny. He's such a good sport. You are living your best life, the adventures you've been on these past months. When you showed Matrix startled by the fake dog... Matrix was standing his ground, small but mighty 🐶💪. Yet another fun adventure.

My favourite is the heart shaped one Dylan found, it's a beauty. I could rarely see the ones on the ground until they were moved but they are so dark and lustrous that they show up so well against the matrix. You certainly were having fun there which is what you need after concentrating so hard to find the garnets. The views there are stunning Bryan, and the rainbow was so beautiful that is one place I would love to see. I likes the amenities at Garnet Hill, a lot of care has been taken to make it a perfect place to visit and explore. Take care and stay safe please my friends God bless you, Matrix and Dylan love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK

My now ex and I use to take our kids there while on deer hunting trips. It was more rustic back then and the road wasn't graded very often. We would bring some home every time we went. We also had some great pieces in matrix. Years later, I took my husband there and didn't find very many. It was very disappointing because I wanted him to enjoy it as much as I use to. Glad you had a good time. Oh, and you pronounced Nevada wrong...lol.

Hi Bryan, another great location with some lovely garnets. What a location and right place, right time, while the rain may have slowed things up initially the resulting clean up on the rocks looks like it made it worthwhile. This locality is defiantly on my bucket list if and when I can get over the to other side of the pond. The almandine Garnets in my collection where given to me by chemistry teacher (Mr Warren) way back in late 80's I think he collected them from river gavels in the Swiss Alps? Anyways being river garnets they are rough at the edges unlike the ones found at Garnet Hill!

Those almandine garnets are often worth more than the standard ones. I was shopping for beads (I make jewelry) and was slobbering over the strands of garnets they had for sale. I noticed they wanted more for the almandine garnets. I just thought they were ALL lovely!
