Nobody has realized this is Amy Belle? Far from an amateur, she is a real seasonal pro and this is 2 &1/2 years after her Rod Steward gig of " one night only at the royal albert hall" this was video taped in Jan 2007. Cheers !

She is only one of the millions of talented people world wide, who are over looked out there daily, while the commercial world of the record industry continue to push the untalented, artificially enhanced, know somebody, wantabe's into making the recording company millions, and the real talent busts their ass's every night somewhere on an unseen stage, going home at night starving for not only the attention their talent deserves, but without the simple ability to put food on their dinner tables for their families !

There's this little untold rule: if you stop to listen, you should pay. If you film it, you should pay even more. It's not about you giving your money "away", but rather rewarding some hard-ass grinder that made you feel a little bit better in your day.

slightly disagree, if you film it, you should put it on youtube (ask first) that way more people will get to know the artist and maybe buy cd's i always video & youtube it (unless they say no)

larry scheller is a bitter old man past his "prime". He feels threatened by young musicians who still have a shot to "do something" with their talent that he himself has not but wishes he had. There are hundreds of larry's around here who talk the same BS, hog up all the open mic time, trash talk, and create drama for people who just enjoy playing music and don't even care about "making it big", and even those who do, just whatever. His whole generation picked up a guitar at a young age because mommy and daddy bought them one. Oooo, just like all the boys, awesome larry knew it would get him chicks so he put all his effort into that. Now, even with all the skills in the world, he's just old and probably lonely. The talented persevere despite bitter old male opinions.

YOU larry scheller is a bitter old man past his "prime". ME How egocentric is that !?....Prime ? Most people learn every year and if you don't know , or play better when you're 60 than when you were 20 something , you've been sleeping for 40 years . YOU He feels threatened by young musicians who still have a shot to "do something" with their talent that he himself has not but wishes he had. ME You assume much ! I started playing when I was 12 , started playing for money when I was 15 , was in a band with a record contract when I was 17 , when I was 22 and 27 . I don't feel threatened by anyone because I don't look at music as a competition but when I hear someone better I respect them and maybe even learn from them . I don't respect people who are lazy and don't learn their craft especially if they are over rated by a dumbed down listening audience ! YOU There are hundreds of larry's around here who talk the same BS, hog up all the open mic time, trash talk, and create drama for people who just enjoy playing music and don't even care about "making it big", and even those who do, just whatever. ME I havn't cared about making it big since I was in my late teens . I play for the love of music and the times in my life I was making the most money playing I was playing music I really didn't like that much . In 1960, high school seniors were asked "Are you an important person?" and 12% said "Yes, I'm an important person." That question was asked in 2005. 85% responded "Yes, I'm an important person." The group was asked do you want to be famous and in 1960 most said no in 2005 most said yes . YOU His whole generation picked up a guitar at a young age because mommy and daddy bought them one. ME My generation made much of the best music of the last 100 years with the birth of rock in the 50's and in the 60's The Beatles , Santana , Clapton , Hendrix , Page , Beck, Carol King and from the mid 60's through the 70's everything from SRV to Steely Dan . The golden 15 years of music that your generation hasn't come close too ! I picked up a guitar when I was 12 and spent hrs learning things off of records because of things I heard on the radio that gave me goose bumps . My parents gave me a cheap Harmony guitar for my birthday because I bagged them for it but after that I paid for all my guitars myself . I think you have my generation confused with gen X or Y or whatever one you belong to that are known as the " entitled and and privileged generations " ! YOU Oooo, just like all the boys, awesome larry knew it would get him chicks so he put all his effort into that. Now, even with all the skills in the world, he's just old and probably lonely. ME Myself and many of my generation were obsessed with learning how to be a great musician for the love of music the rest was secondary . Most people KNOW spend more time posing and dreaming about fame than praticing and that's obvious . Most of the time when I hear a new band that's obvious and I say "that banging out simple chords in 8th notes was supposed to be a guitar solo, give me a break " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes , I am OLDer and wiser than I was when I was your age and am happily married to a beautiful lady named Barbara ( she look's like a thin Queen Latifah ) who's a great singer and keyboard player . You make some wild assumptions ! YOU The talented persevere despite bitter old male opinions. ME Once again I'm not at all bitter I just don't like to see mediocre talent with pretty faces getting ahead of people like Jess Lewis or Taiana Para or Davina and the Vagobonds who can play their ass's off !

Why do people assume that because you're a busker you must be either homeless or unemployed? I busk on a regular basis and I am neither! I'm sure she isn't either. Why do we busk? Because it's the most amazing experience in the world. You get to make a real connection with so many wonderful people and you get to earn a little extra cash too! Some of the lovely comments that I have received about my playing far out weigh the monetary rewards! She's great, long may she continue.
