The mold... first let me step back and of all, I love it, I had wanted to find molds for those of the darker complexion, and suddenly, I stumbled across your video. Amazing, now my question is, were you in the world did you find this mold?🎉🎉🎉❤

Hey pamelascott3184, Thanks so much for the feedback! I purchased the mold on Amazon. I wanted to share the link but it’s no longer available. All I could find were coaster molds - NOT molds for trays. I searched for you and found one on Etsy. I cannot speak to the quality of the mold or the seller. www.etsy.com/listing/922942601/afro-woman-tray-mold? Hope this helps. By the way, if you liked the Jamaican Clock, watch the video on how I created a “personalized” Afro Lady Serving Tray. You’re gonna love it! kzitem.info/news/bejne/uZ2nrouHsqB6mWUsi=fLdmFmPfbSrIW3QS Create something beautiful, Hazel

Great morning to you Urban Angel! Thanks for the complement! The most important thing is to make sure that your resin is mixed well. Be sure to purchase a clock mechanism that is the correct length. Make “One day!” happen real soon. Also, if there’s a video you’d like to see me create, let me know. Be peaceful, Hazel

Hey Michelle, I really appreciate your feedback. Inspiring you to create something beautiful (and useful) is my goal!!! How do I hang the clock? Wow looks great have you had to worry about the resin turning yellow after sometime
@sparrowartvibes618
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Myles, Unfortunately, ALL resin will yellow over time - primarily due to light. Even resins that contain UV stabilizers will eventually yellow. It’s not that noticeable in colored resin but you will see it in clear resin that is left in bright light. A friend told me that if you add a drop of blue alcohol ink to your clear resin it will help prevent yellowing. I haven’t tried it.

Good afternoon Monae, Thanks for your response. I ALWAYS include the amount of resin needed in my videos. This is to make sure you have enough and that you don’t make too much and waste it. Since you will be ADDING resin to an existing project, be sure to do a CLEAR COAT of resin after you complete your mold. That way the old and new resins will be sealed together! Hope this helps and happy creating!

@@sparrowartvibes618 you welcome and yes i know about the adding clear resin as the last step to any finished project to seal in the main art design... I been practicing and learning from when i first started doing my resin art projects back in 2019... But always like learning and challenging myself to other ideas and techniques...so Thank you again and keep up the great work.... Maybe later on one day i will start my youtube page showing my artwork pieces and techniques as well one-day soon...😁❤Besides I love art💯❤😁

Hey Felicia, I just saw your question this afternoon. Thanks for your interest in creating something beautiful! I initially purchased from Michaels. Need a ¾” shaft: www.michaels.com/search?q=clock%20mechnism Then I ordered a package from Amazon.com. I am not an Amazon affiliate but this is the link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09B35M4XC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Attached is an article on how to choose the correct shaft. I bought a mechanism based on the thickness of the afro lady. However, it was too short but it had to be longer so it would extend ABOVE the face. This article is a great resource: blog.esslinger.com/how-to-determine-a-quartz-clock-movements-shaft-size/

I want to make one with numbers but how do you seal the numbers in
@sparrowartvibes618
2 жыл бұрын
Great evening to you Vannessa! I just happened to see your question when I was reviewing my channel. I would not “seal” the numbers in resin because you have constantly check the resin to make sure it is thick enough to keep the numbers from SINKING (but soft enough for them to stick). I would simply attach them to the face using SUPER GLUE as I do my jewels. The important thing is to make sure you have the spots marked and that the numbers are STRAIGHT! Hope this helps

Mine keep bending what I'm I doing wrong there hard but they bend
@sparrowartvibes618
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Makeshia, I just saw your question. I’m not sure why your lady bends. It could be that the resin was not accurately mixed, it could be temperature, or humidity. I know I’ve had to add a space heater in my studio when it’s been cold. One thing for certain is that the lady must “hard cure” before you add the clock mechanism. I attached it for the video but then removed it. I reattached it after 5 days.

I have that same issue. I mixed half and half exactly, yet it’s bendable
