I am absolutely fascinated with sculpture. Everything from monumental works like the Great Sphynx to tiny pieces like the Venus of Willendorf, to incredibly detailed works from Greece. I find it almost magical how a lump of rock can be shaped to such stunning detail and realism, in such a vast range of styles and scales.

Hello!! Thanks for all the interesting art works! My favorite non-painting artwork to admire is quilting. My mother quilts, and most of my beddings throughout my life have been ones she has made. She even made me a storyboard quilt of my life. My favorite non-painting type of art to do is coloring. Adult coloring books and coloring pages are a great stress reliever. I also really enjoy mosaics and Garden art in both creating and admiring! Happy diamond painting.

I love lots of types of art. Besides jewelry (ofc) I love tiles, like ancient Roman floor types, that we portuguese still use in our sidewalks, but you probably recognize more in Rio de Janeiro big sidewalks); but also Arab tiles, that we also have a lot in Portugal as inheritance from their occupation after romans (used in normal daily life like kitchens and floors, but also as huge historical or religious panels a bit everywhere decorating wise… and this panels and tiles are being stolen from Portugal as we speak)… another world to discover 😉.

Wow! I have always love sculptures. The sheer massiveness of a lot of these stunning works of art is impressive alone, but when you figure the fact that most are done in extremely hard rocks or stones, like marble or granite, AND the fact that they had limited tools and supplies. Well, the impressiviness (is that a word?) is exponentially increased! I don't think that I was familiar with the Japanese wood block painting type of art. I had see those pieces before, however, never really knew how those masterpieces were created. They are stunning and I'll have to do more research. Thanks for such an amazing and educational video.

If I would have to choose a form of old art from my country (Roumania), I would choose the embroidery. I am so in love with all the variety there is and the craftsmanship behind it that I chosed to have a traditional embroidery inspired dress as my weeding dress. But in terms of international art, I think I would choose sculpture, thinking at all the hours that are spend on a single piece ... I feel that the art and creativity in general is what makes us humans the supreme beeing on Earth
