On the AC Cobra, I like the contrast of the Tan Carpet with Yellow Driver and Red Body. It and the White Jag turned out real nice!

I would keep both! The interiors are a different color. Now if they were exactly the same that would be different. It’s amazing how you can clean up the cars. Most of my cars have decals on them as that was the thing to do at the time. I still have the decal sheets. Keep it going with the videos Jeff!

Another great video. I will say that the new or newer AutoWorld T-Jets have decals on them and if you wash them with alcohol or VRP the highlights or numbers on the hood will come off. But the older Model Motoring cars are fine with VRP. IMHO Keep up the good work Jeff!

Hey TC, thank you for the kind words. Regarding the VRP or any other product that we want to use on our old slot cars: always use caution, right??

From one Jeff to another, the new cobra looks better. I think you even mentioned in another video that the guy color should never match the car color. Idea for a game....use misc. bumpers or windshields to identify which car they fit on. (I would never win that game. lol)

Hey Jeff, first off I’m with you a 100% regarding the new Cobra, that’s the one I’m keeping. And as far as a new game to give stuff away, your bumper picture idea ROCKS!! I like it a lot, thank you so much for the suggestion!!

Hi Jeff. Another great video showing how to restore neglected cars. Those were two nice projects. I do cringe when I see you using a wire wheel to clean motors. They are quite delicate. I use a fiberglass pen to gently clean them and it works well. Also great for pick up shoes between races. Wanted to ask a question about the paint markers. I use the same paint markers that you do And I have found that they have a relatively short shelf life. After some time, the ink that comes out is dark, flat gray, and no longer chrome. Have you had any issues with these markers and perhaps maybe some of your viewers could also comment. I’m thinking of trying the Zoet markers. Does anybody have any experience with these? Keep the great videos combing Jeff we all appreciate them.

Hey Bill, I have had a number of my viewers over the years comment about me using a wire Dremel brush to clean the bottom of the Comm. Plate. All viewers that have commented...none of them have ever tried my technique. One might might consider the comm. plate to be 'delicate' but, it's actually a very sturdy tri-laminate. And since I have over 4 decades with 100% success rate at cleaning the comm. plate with the wire Dremel brush, I'm doing something right. In addition I have always maintained that if anyone can show me a faster/better way to clean the comm. plate, show me. So far to this date, no one has. Regarding the Molotow Chrome Pens, When I kept my chrome pens in the garage, I did have on that had a short shelf life, but I thought it was due to the extreme heat hear in Florida.

Maybe those pens were old before we bought them. Will try again and see what happens. As for using the dremel on motors , I have been clumsy enough to hit my fingers a few times while holding the motor still. So the fiberglass pen saves me some skin. I’m happy with the results. It’s just another way to do it.
