Hey doc happy Tuesday! I must share I went through the beauty of joseon matte sunstick a few times this year. I am a sunscreen junkie and have accumulated a good amount by now which I love in the way they feel, ingredients, and initial look, howeveeer after a few hours I end up looking extra shiny. Here is where this sunstick came in handy. I use it every day to touch up on top of my regular sunscreens. I don't know what the magic is in this stick but regardless of me wearing a mineral or chemical sunscreen, it just always looks flawless on top of any of them and it definitely mattifies my skin. Since this is not my initial sun protection, just for reapplication throughout the day, I don't worry about me possible missing any spots, and I also don't go through it super fast as I imagine I would if this would serve as my only sunscreen. Hope this helps anyone that has stopped using a certain sunscreen because you end up looking like a light bulb like myself! Take care everyone!

I am happy that I received "The Balance' gift set by The Ordinary for Christmas, (from my brother & sister-in-law). It contains the squalene cleanser, salicylic acid masque, the niacinamide & zinc and the natural moisturising factors +HA. I used it last night and my skin looks and feels good this morning... admittedly it has been very good lately anyway. There was no redness on my chin today as there often is (maybe due to the niacinamide?) I think my skin has been behaving lately because I have been regularly using the Garnier charcoal & salicylic acid cleanser (that I originally purchased for both my partner & my son). I leave it on my face while I brush & floss my teeth, then wash it off. During Christmas I've been eating all the foods that normally trigger my adult acne (inc. creamy cheeses & luxury chocolates)...but so far no pimples! I don't want to jinx myself, but I'll still have to go on the treadmill a lot! Especially, because I am eating liqueur chocolates in bed right now waiting for the belated Christmas pudding to be cooked! We were too full of Christmas cake & cherry stollen to eat it earlier, so we are having it for breakfast today (Dec. 27). From the bedroom I can see the Elf on the Shelf in the lounge room looking at me in horror, because I'm being so naughty! Before Christmas I was lower than my ideal weight (because I was working so hard), so I think I deserve to enjoy myself during my holiday break. I never take a break from my sunscreen though! 👱🏻♀️❤️

Organic compounds contain carbon and inorganic do not (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide). Here’s an explanation of Organic Chemistry from Wikipedia. “Organic chemistry is a subdiscipline within chemistry involving the scientific study of the structure, properties, and reactions of organic compounds and organic materials, i.e., matter in its various forms that contain carbon atoms. Study of structure determines their structural formula.” The term is being used technically here instead of how most people use it when talking about food, skincare, etc. It’s more of an accurate description. I have small bumps on a certain area of my cheek and I think they are blackheads. I think the reason is tretinoin cream. At first I didn't know how to use it and I put too much on my face. I didn't use sunscreen. Then one day I noticed a brown spot on my cheek. I think there is a stain due to sunburn and there are small blackheads in the area where this stain is located. After taking a break from using the cream, I used the cream again in the correct way, but it did not help, and I think it caused more blackheads. I haven't used the cream for 1 year and there is no improvement. Even though my skin is dry, I don't even use moisturizer anymore. All the facial moisturizing creams I used caused blackheads. Blackheads annoy me. What should I do? Help me please 😢

Is it just me or did Isntree change the formulation of their watery sun gel into a much thicker and oilier consistency?

Most of the zinc sunscreens I tried sting my eyes. I’m still on the search to try some that don’t sting.

Dr Dray has said in videos that applying to a face that's not dry can interfere with how the sunscreen sets up, possibly affecting it's efficacy.

I wanted to love the Colorscience Flex but I did not like the feel of it on my face. Very heavy and mask-like. It does have great tint coverage however.

Hi 🙋🏻♀️ I do not apply sunscreen to my eyelids as you showed at 9:46 seconds. It stings my eyes and I have tears during the day. Do we have to apply sunscreen like this?

Any recommendation for a body sunscreen which doesn't leave white residue over the clothes during the day? It leaves after washing the clothes but it's disgusting having dirty clothes due to applycation of suncream on arms and neck :(

Try the Bondi Sands SPF 30 in the blue tube. I believe it doesn't have silica or mineral SPF so it's unlikely to mess up your clothes too badly or stain.

Also...try an oil sunscreen. Kroger has a great dupe for the Supergoop oil sunscreen. You have to buy a better spay bottle for it, but it sinks right in.

I’ve had good success with the Banana Boat + Vitamins formula, also recommended by Dr. Dray. I mostly wear black and it doesn’t leave noticeable spots on my clothes.

DermaB has a cheap sunscreen that soaks right into the skin. Very light and has never left my clothes dirty/greasy. I have eczema prone skin but it doesn’t irritate me.

That Haru Haru mineral sunscreen is NOT 100% mineral. It has Butyloctyl Salicylate, a chemical filter
