JT I'm a fairly recent subscriber and I appreciate your approach to things in that your videos are compact and concise with fluff edited out. Not a slam on your cat! A comment from Brian Ferguson 8 months ago gets a " second that motion" from me. I know you have a sledge hammer. Why didn't you straighten out the left side of the front bumper? That done I would have rated your job as excellent for the investment of time and money. I am a "perfectionist". I had a guy tell me years ago I shouldn't be so hard on myself. I said I'm not. He said you just said you are a perfectionist. I replied, the scope of my perfectionism is I EXPECTION perfection in OTHERS.

I appreciate you! There is a perfectly good reason for the bumper. ….. I did swing a 10 lb sledge hammer at that bumper before I painted it. It acts almost like spring steel. Bounced off 8-10 times, didn’t make a difference in the bend so I just let it go. I am hoping to find another for it in the future 😉

I love that you aren't half assing it. You know what you're doing. You make the conscious choice to save time and money, and you know the end goal is to work in the field and park in the barn. I'm on the same page as you! (That might not be very high praise though)

Nice clean up of the grain truck, would like to see the front bumper hit a few times with a BIG hammer to straighten it a bit. But that's only real item that jumps out. Like the red, Farmal Tractors were Grey in the 30's, when they crossed gravel roads the cars could not see them, a lot of farmers lost their lives this way...so Farmal changed to Red to save farmers lives.

Why did you paint it red, other than that was the previous color. I have a 1955 GMC grain truck and its bed sides are red. In fact, just about every grain truck I’ve ever seen has red bed sides, but I can’t find anyone that knows why. Anyone on here know why?
@jtsbarnngrill6873
Жыл бұрын
like I mentioned in the video, everything I used on this truck to paint it was all left-overs form other projects. I took all the reds(Massey and gm victory red) and poured them together and painted the box. the blue was also leftovers. that’s why I called it “victory Ferguson red”.

Try painting something outside and make it bright yellow... It'll attract beetles quicker than the speed of light. They could be downwind 3 states away in a full blown storm.... It's not a butterfly flapping it's wings in Beijing causing chaos. You only need to think... bright yellow... and every creepy crawly will know your exact location before you get to be thinking yellow... Spiders are in a league of their own. Any fresh yellow paint is an invitation to beat the world record in crawl... Removing them - you make even more damage than the spider would have... On the other hand having a problem with insects - if you've got a problem with a neighbor - give them bright yellow paint and you'll get your revenge as well. Cheepskating a cyan yellow t-shirt is almost as effective. Astronomers and physicists are now believing - black wholes are indeed not black - you can measure them sending out radiation.... In the middle there's an infinite small point of infinite mass made out of bright yellow paint... It even attract and destroys entire galaxies... A quantum riddle is a bucket of yellow bright paint being opened somewhere in the universe... Aliens aren't that interested in humans. Whenever they end up somewhere on Earth - you can hear their captain saying - I SAID CALIBRATE to RULE OUT - BRIGHT YELLOW PAINT... Even insects know - you'll be attracted to it... Tornado Alley isn't global warming - it's farmers trying to save some money - "Oh what a nice find - gallons of unused bright yellow - more than adequate to paint the sides of the grain truck... " Releasing powers and events Stranger than at Wall Marts... You don't believe me... Open a bucket of yellow bright paint in the height of summer...
