Bit of an update to this: Recently had mornings down to -7, again I went off with just a t-shirt and merino base layer under my leather jacket, it struggled but it was still bearable, as before my arms were cold and mid rift was warm, but the usual warm air pocket that forms on the chest was heavily reduced. I'd say providing you can either live with cold arms or find a way of keeping them warm this is still a workable alternative to more expensive jackets even down at minus 7 degrees.

@thepeakybiker no messing about haha! Tbf, I'm going to look into getting a full set of heated gear now, the benefits are insane, always thought heated gear was a bit of a gimmick but I'm fully sold on the idea now 😅

I figured out why my audio is bad some times. Living in the states, my highways are 70 to 90 mph on the Councurs and 70 to 80 on my W800. It would take me hours to get to places if I took back roads to get to location. So knowing what higher speed is good for me! Thanks, I am not old enough yet to get heated gear. Maybe in 10 more years I will indulge. Maybe retirement years! But hope to never need to invest in electric stuff! Lol

My audio starts getting a bit questionable above 70 mph 😅 I'd like to say I'm too young to need heated gear but with the British winters I just accepted it and went for it, haha

@@thelimeyrider I learned how to ride in New Jersey and had frozen tears on the side of my head when I got home and then was kinda smart other then getting married for the first time and moved to Virginia. Which it gets mostly to the mid 20 F most days during the summer. I am a p#ssy now with 20 degrees and below. Not sure what that is to you, but I have 25 jacket and 15 pairs of pants and 40 pairs of gloves. And when it gets cold , I have the hunting suit one peice. So far, I am good! Now if you can figure out a way for me to ride naked during g the summer, that would be great.

@BlakesPipes thats a lot of kit! As far as summer riding goes, I'd suggest the 'borat bikini' 🤣🤣

@@thelimeyrider yep. Audio has been my battle. Mic is in the speaker pocket in helmet. A bunch of random fluffy stuff around my house wrapped around it to try to block wind lol.

@Atrip111 haha, yea - have you tried any other mic brands? I know they say to only use akaso mics but I always wander If it's possible. I put one of those dead cat fluff ball things in mine and stuck it behind a cheek pad, wind still gets it though. I've managed to almost fix it in my last few videos with some new software I've found though thankfully

@Atrip111 I've been told purple panda's are the way forward. I might try it and see if it works - I'm doubting the cam will know the difference if its just a simple USB-c port.. I could be wrong though 😅

Those gloves look like they offer zero protection if you come off
@thelimeyrider
9 ай бұрын
Yea, you'd be right in thinking that, I did actually mention that they lack protection in the video - I'm sure they weren't made with motorbikes in mind. I think the distraction of cold hands and therefore more likely to have an accident is more dangerous than the lack of protection in winter though. But each to their own - just chucking in my views on them. Cheers for checking it out dude! 👍

Could you not tuck it into your jeans , that would warm your lower back... subbed you btw.

You probably could, how ever the battery pack sits quite low on the left side in a little pocket which may be uncomfortable. I think if you was to relocate the battery by making your own pocket for it on there then yes, that would definitely fix the issue. I'll give it a go! Cheers for watching and the sub mate!
