Dish cleaning tip: If you are traveling with dishes and are tight on room for liquids, get a sponge and cut into thirds or quarters. Wet the sponge and put your dish soap on it, suds it up then let it dry. Put the pieces into a zip top bag and when you want to wash a dish/bottle just wet the sponge again and you have a sudsy sponge. You can keep the pieces for another trip, too.

I just can't help but watch all your videos Eunice! They are a lot of fun. Its nice to have those comforts of home when travelling. I've noticed for years that food servers in restaurants clean dirty dishes off tables from others, and then return with your food or drink without washing hands in between. Because of this I like to use straws. I too do not like the feeling of stainless steel on a straw, however I did pick up some titanium straws on Amazon (really cool looking), and they don't seem to have the same weird sensation as stainless. It is also much lighter weight. I hope you are doing great! B

That is awesome! Especially now, when Mr. lines are not serving any food, and many restaurants and hotels are not serving food late at night or at all. I think it’s more important than ever now that we have something that we can bring with us on the plane and in the airport also because of the delays that have been happening the last time I was laid as in Albuquerque and by the time we got to our customer service experience everything in the airport is close including the restaurant at the hotel we stayed at so thank goodness I brought bento boxes for that trip!😃

Love the S2S collapsible cups with lids! (I have medium cup - which would nest in X-Large bowl with lid, small cup nests in large bowl as she displayed.) Great to throw in your purse for restaurant leftovers, in the car for small loose nuts, snacks, candy on family road trips so those big bags don’t spill. The cup nests inside cup holders. And for yogurt cups that don’t get finished you have a sealed lid! I also like Victorinox folding serrated knife with round tip…though would need to be in checked luggage if flying. The Dollar and a Quarter Store sells cutting boards that are about the consistency of a hard plastic report cover as well as square silicone trivets that can double as coasters and small paring knives that have a companion locking sheath. (The knife would definitely not be TSA.) Personally, I always carry a military style (p-51) can opener. I tried an immersion heater once, but it just didn't get that hot so I abandoned it.

I have a similar collection for when I traveled for work! I actually carry less but more electric gadgets. I have a coffee French press thermos (300ml). An electric 500ml/ pint kettle dual voltage (from Amazon UK), a collapsible silicone cup with a clip lid for soup (ramen), a small one with a lid for beverages. Spoons and chopsticks. This goes into my carryon bag. I also carry a bento box of things to eat on the journey if there is no inflight service. If I have checked bags I carry an electric lunchbox, and a small bag (a toiletries bag) with knives, forks, tiny plastic cutting board, tiny whisk, tiny silicone spatula, kitchen towel, small sponge, seasoning, Swiss Army knife with can opener. I have three electric lunchboxes but I only carry one depending on the electric voltage available at the destination. These are Itaki, Hotlogic, and one I got from Korea which is a folding rice cooker. None of these get hot enough to fry things so at some point I may add a Dash mini griddle to my collection. I really like your collapsible silicone boxes too as a lighter replacement for the hotlogic container! Also chopstick are indispensable! I carry a few of the takeout kind as they can be used for cooking and even to mix dough!

The 50 ml U.S. not a problem but they are big. They take up too much room in my liquids bag. Because space in the bag also counts. So I use it mostly to boil water then pour water in another container or have another one so one for savory food. We use it when we stealth car camp. Usually it’s just water for hot cocoa or coffee or instant noodles or oat meal but only to boil water. It’s great because cause it’s smaller than other foldable silicone kettle. 2 ppl in an suv .. every inch counts. You actually CAN open food cans with no can opener but it does make some noise and you need a cement sidewalk or something comparable. You just turn the can upside down on its top and rub the top of the can against the sidewalk in circles over and over until the friction slightly heats the top of the can. The glue holding the top of the can in place will loosen and you can take off the top. Just keep rubbing and testing the can lid until you get it off.

@@TheoryofSimple Nooooo...... I was just responding to your comment saying "You can't open this (the can) without this (the can opener)." Yes it's a bit "extreme" but if you ever get caught without a can opener again, you don't have to go hungry. It works! I've tried it!! (This was when my opener was just too old and stopped working.) LoL. Say you're out in the wilderness and find you forgot the can opener (although you really wouldn't be likely to be taking too many cans out there unless maybe you could drive to your destination), then just find a flat rock (if you can) or keep a small piece of sample tile with you (like I have to set my glue gun on for arts and crafts). Use any flat surface to get the lid off. There's no need to go without food just because of lacking an opener. (Another situation in which someone might use this is when a homeless person gets canned food from a food pantry but has no opener....... or maybe after a natural disaster (flood, hurricane, tornado, etc.) when things like openers may have been lost. It's always good to know little tricks that keep you fed. :)

I have been freeze drying foods at home since 2016. I have been focused on food storage and having fast spoiling foods on hand such as mushrooms and fruits and veggies and also made my husband hunting kits which he said were like being at home in the dark cold forest. I am looking into making travel kits such as bone broth, fruit purees to add to smoothies or milk or into yogurts for extra nutrition. There are so many sizes of mylar bags that flat pack and one small 4x6 can hold a family’s worth of food powder, a quart can hold 2-3 servings of regular soups, and a gallon (8x12) can feed 4-8 adults. The weight is mere ounces as well. For short term trips, I would buy the mylar that has the clear front so it can be inspected without opening. They are TSA friendly. The foods don’t last as long and be very care when opening. Treat as if fresh. FD foods are extremely hydroscopic and will draw in moisture from the air so keep it closed until used. Our favs are spaghetti, stroganoff, stews, and hamburger rice meals. So filling and healthy and morale boost while giving utmost nutrition. -think mountain house with it the sodium and preservatives. Traveling with FD food can also be a literal life saving aspect when food allergies are involved. Your food your sourcing.

I did not see a UL sticker on it. Many things coming out of China. Do not have that because that is not a regulation that they have their. Are used to be in hardware product development and I’m very familiar with that particular regulation in the United States. I will say that I have used my electric tea kettle several times and I’ve not had a problem. That being said, you always want to be cautious even with a UL read it appliance there’s always a chance that something could break and go wrong. One thing I do do is unplug it as soon as I’m done using it and never leave it plugged in and it goes for all of my electrical appliances weather there a curling iron and immersion heater or a blow dryer.🙏😊❤️

Please explain.... what is an "efficiency"?

And efficiency is a hotel room that generally has a small kitchenette in it. Some places like home away or extended stays have them and they’re great for people who are having extended business trips because you can cook some meals in your room.😊🙏❤️

This was worth rewatching, as I’m leaving in 3 weeks and will only have a fridge for a week! Thank you!

I’m so glad you’re able to get some great hacks from this video and get some things that will make your trip a little bit easier and hopefully less expensive! 💕😊

The green collapsible small bowl can also be used as a chopping board when it's upside down! The bottom plastic bottom is good for it!

Thanks for this video! Any channel that causes me to buy anything gets a subscribe! 😊 I ended up getting the kettle, plus the pot they make, and a different brand of collapsible storage containers. I knew collapsible cups and bowls existed, and I even have a collapsible pot from Sea to Summit, but glad to know about the containers now. I’ve been using regular plastic containers to take to restaurants for leftovers vs using their packaging. I think the collapsible would be so much easier to keep in my bag.

First, thank you so much for subscribing to my channel!🙏❤️ I feel like we are both cut from the same cloth! I also sometimes bring either those silicone Stasher bags or other reusable bags with me, so that I can bring home leftovers from peoples houses or from restaurants! 😊🙏❤️ I also want to thank you so much for shopping and supporting my channel!😊❤️🙏
