I’ve been loving Otis and its grid support. It’s so much more fun with a grid.

Nicely done, I've really been enjoying this series and can't wait for more. I'm wondering if you're going to be covering Lepidoptery in the next one. Also- do you ever use Norns doing audio mangling in conjunction with the Cocoquantus?
@tworoundrobins
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I might touch upon Lepidoptery in the future. It’s not really a script I took a proper dive in. I also use Norns with Coco as well as CL and Monome world blends rather nicely:)

Do you just use the built in reverb on Norns? If so, can you share your settings, they are _perfect_

I use a bit of reverb from Norns and add a bit from Valhala Supermassive :)

Hey Andy, how do I access the menu parameters such as slew etc when using barcode on the shield?
@tworoundrobins
8 ай бұрын
Pretty easy, you get to the main menu and turn encoder 1 to the right and you’ll see params. Enter that and just move downwards and it should be there…if you mean just the rate, level pan thing in the main window of barcode you just move encoder 2 :)

Can you use some external modulation with Otis script? Maybe with some cv to midi converter?
@Hessencemusic
Жыл бұрын
Sure… any midi compatible usb device can be used with norns. There is a cool device called 16n faderbank compatible with midi usb, CV, and i2c… 16 faders for any expression you may need
@tworoundrobins
Жыл бұрын
Yes! Loads of MIDI devices can be used with norns. I would also suggest looking into grid. Doesn’t need to be monome, but a lot of scripts have grid integration that really opens up the script usability. Otis has some cool grid integration as well :)

there's a bit of reverb from Norns and from Valhalla which I'm using for the videos, all can be turned off completely
@The_Sound_Technician

Where is that reverb coming from?
@tworoundrobins

heya it's a mixture of Norns's reverb and a bit of shimmer verb that was done in Logic - specifically Valhalla Supermassive
