In this episode, we profile Hobey Cattan and his pristine AMC AMX.There are very few American sport coupes that have aged as well as the AMX. The two-seat V-8 sport compact was an unusual sight when it appeared in the late 1960s, looking positively shrimp-like compared to Chargers and Impalas. The AMX was in production for just three model years (1968-70), with only about 20,000 units produced. That was less than the number of 'Vettes Chevy rolled off the assembly line in one year. In hindsight, the AMX's small dimensions, killer output, and rarity have made it a true standout.
