I'd probably go the opposite for high end. Intel for work, AMD for gaming. The 13900k is great for everything, and is roughly the best at half of all work load and half of all gaming benchmarks. yeah, it produces more heat. There is nothing from AMD that is great for everything. Roughly half the time AMD beats the 13900k but some run better with the 7950x; some the 7950x3d; some the 7800x3d. For gaming, you could justify the 7800x3d imo; but for work, I don't think you can justify any of them over the 13900k.

I have to politely disagree… if you wanna run newer games with higher spec minimums, you definitely need a better CPU just because that carries your frame rate especially on games, like Call of Duty. And I know temps are a problem on Intel but there's a reason why literally most of the people that do hard-core editing and workload stuff choose Intel. Ryzen is a slightly cheaper option for gaming. -don’t get me wrong they are still amazing but Intel normally is slightly faster.

That's good advice but not for people that are new to PCs - we build custom PCs for people, so generally I'm talking to the guys that don't want to build their own PC If you don't want to build your own PC, you won't want to replace the motherboard and processor - that's essentially just the same as building a whole new PC haha If you're to get a Core i9 13900K today though, I'm pretty confident you'll still be playing AAA games in 5 years at decent frame rates 🙂

U forgot that the cheapest amd processor is 200 vs 90 for intel and that the i3-12100f will be able to do 90% of task and be able to game really well for 200 for both the cpu and mobo

I9 gives you like 4 extra frames than the 7800x3d, and when you are at higher fps it really dosent matter.

it all depends on your type of games you play for me its MMO i play games like Diablo 4 and World of Warcraft those games do not need all that power I am using AMD 2700X and 6700 XT GPU 32 gigs of G skill and my FPS at 1440 p runs 80 FPS to150 FPS on ultra setting.
