They were also the biggest whiners in the NFL. The way those two would jump around and yell and scream at officials while protesting an obviously correct call was embarrassing. The refs were a lot more lenient about that stuff back then, but today they would be getting 15 yard penalties on the regular.

"Tony is going to run to what he sees". Oh, is that Coach actually being flexible about something?? Randy White, cant play LB, so lets put him down front?? All that did was lead Dallas to the title. What a shock. If only Hollywood was allowed to play weak side LB, theyd be the greatest defense in history. Whatever. As great as he was, Landry's philosophy was almost written in stone. If hed been open minded, Roger wouldve been the starter over that stiff Craig Morton in 1970, and they wouldve beaten the Colts in the Super Bowl. Even the greatest minds, have brain farts.

Truly great team that the 1977 Cowboys put onthe football field for most of the NFL opposing teams, fans , and media outlets to be invious of . Outstanding at every level, the dismantling of the Vikings inthe conference championship game basically terminated the Vikings as being a authentic SB contender for the rest of the decade . Ownership ,GM,Coaching ,Offense, Defense Special Teams ,and yes, dem.annoying , obnoxious fans, Crazy Ray, those Cowboy Chearleaders that permeated a cult following not only in Dallas but practically near every region in America television ,print media, radio ,writers broadcasters ,executives and ,fandom alike that watched NFL football . The 1977 Cowboys can easily stand up against any NFL / SB team in regards to their great conglomerate of talent . This coming from a Steelers fan who dispite hating them and that cringe worthy fan base ,i respected them emmensly . Some seasons in every sport just seems perfect in reference to social climate ,and that particularly sports moment to capture a championship ,ie the Saints SB win after hurricane Katrina devasted the state of Louisiana ,the Packers 66,67 SB victories over AFL teams , the Jets and Chiefs validating the AFL as a legitimate fraternity by capturing the final 2 AFL vs NFL championships ,,85 Bears ,76 Raiders finally successfully scaling Mount Olympus and the Steelers first SB victory ,the Colts iconic OT victory for the NFL championship in 1958 over the Giants signaling the envogue of the NFL on national television ,1977 just seemed perfect for the Dallas Cowboys to emerge as a legitimate contender for team of the 70's decade with it's 2 SB victory in that time period, 4 SB appearances . Congratulations Cowboys fans this 1977 team was stunning to behold . Salute out of respect ,hope the Pittsburgh Steelers recieve the same from you .

People call you soft, until you get your ass kick by the thing you called soft. If that's soft after an ass kicking, what does that make you? Hey, Buddy Ryan's 46 Defense was a read and react defense. But nobody is calling the 85 Bears soft. At least not to there faces, even now. As much as I hated the San Francisco 49ers, it still wasn't as a finesse as you think. It just means you don't know jack about football.
