Great to see you guys once again, beautiful people👍🏽 You can add a few frames to your bed, that way the mosquito net will be a lot easier to sleep underneath. Love always ❤️💯👍🏽

This was actually a clip of our guest bedroom, our bedroom has a better fitting mosquito net. But it was also messier and it was easier to shoot some footage of the guest bedroom than clean our room. Haha! Thanks for the tip!!

Thanks for being down to earth and adjusting. I just joined your channel as a dual citizen of USA and Salone as we fondly call it. I has to do the same when I moved to the States. I missed my simple life out there, and people wanting to help all the time. You are right about the walks at night. But I will advise you do so during the day time. Also, I don't know what of Sierra Leone you are in, we do have super marketable, though expensive, and stove also. We also have better mattresses. Please ask around. God bless you for all you do and he will protect you and your little angel in Jesus name. Sierra Leonean s are very friendly, and you seem friendly; so I know you will enjoy your stay.❤🙏🏽

Thanks for the comment, Eugenia! It’s wonderful to connect! 😀 Thanks for the recommendations and suggestions. We live in Bo. Their are very limited supermarkets, the only non-foam mattresses available are used which I’m not exactly trusting of. But with that said, we’re very content here with our circumstances. The Lord has blessed us with what we need and he’s training us to have an attitude that finds joy and charm in the small discomforts that we encounter from time to time. 😀

Hey lovely Fam, Always looking forward to your shared video. Funny how the little things in life are the ones that annoys us the most. And then when you look back and thing what the fuss . I totally agreed with you with taking hot showers in Sierra Leone when most of the time there is a power cut 😂. But I am also glad that you’ve adjusted quite well. Hope when I come someday I can take Sonya to Freetown to look for a nice coffee shop.☕️ Lots of hugs to the kids and stay blessed whilst you continue to be about Gods business. Take care 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Haha I'm laughing as some of your list matches mine well. I didn't miss an AC space because I don't don't like them here. (CANADA doesn't need AC usually - rare occasions) I am in full agreement with the mattress and getting outside in the evening/night. After getting malaria inside when the sun goes down is a must. Ooo grocery stores - might have to wait a while longer of me being in Leone as I didn't do the shopping. My MIL did. I did not miss hot water showers, if I wanted hot water for rinsing which is actually what I did at night I did boil water and mixed it with some cool water and that was a great treat before bed. I am all in agreement about coffee shops!!! Sonia, when I come we will have to visit for some good coffee time... we will make shifts something to fil that gap. Can't wait to meet and spend time. So soon! Blessings you 2!

That’s a good habit to get into with boiling water for an evening rinse. The water is significantly colder during the rainy season so we might employ that tactic soon!

@@mindfulmissionarywdankoen5486 oh! Thought of something for evening enjoyment outside... there are mosquito repellent clothing. I have picked up some socks and a scarf (like decorative) that is repellent. Also mosquito stickers and the coils are helpful. Maybe picking up some of those while back over here might give u a bit of evening time to be enjoyed.

It is amazing, how we anticipate what we would miss and then find out after awhile, we didn't. But what I did find surprising was how, whatever country I was in, the other was unreal, a whisp, nebulous in my mind. So I found, besides missing family, I was fine, happy and not dwelling on what I miss....but then again when I returned to the States, it was like a candy store! Then returning to Africa, it eventually became my comfort zone. Are you finding this somewhat similar?
