Well you could apply that argument to almost everything if that’s the route you want to go down. How about this when has appeasement ever helped end a war? Always find it amazing the people who regard Churchill as the greatest Briton and yet champion everything he stood against.

So before this war why didn't they solve the poverty problem then? And the US isn't sending money to Ukraine, they are purchasing weapons from US manufacturers which provide jobs and keeps the economy moving along. BTW a country as wealthy as the US could easily send weapons and solve homelessness, poverty, and healthcare too. It's not one or another. They do keep on giving tax breaks to the wealthy in the trillions.

US aid to Ukraine is not the US sending big packs of money in planes to Ukraine. It’s credit given to Ukraine to buy US weapons, equipment and provisions to Ukraine to use in the war. many US businesses are thriving because of the increased demand and many workers are getting higher pay as a result of it. If you tried to make this argument 90 years ago not only would the Nazis have won WW2 but the USA would have never recovered from the Great Depression.
