You are assuming full time at 15$ an hour. Most jobs in the U.S. are part time. This means u can take that 28k number and halve it then try and say its still livable.

You can't live.on 15 dollars an hour anywhere you would want to live, the average rent for 1 bedroom apartment in the entire US is about 1700 a month now and increasing rapidly. At $15 per hour that's about 2500 a month full time - 30% for various taxes is a little over 1800-1700 rent about 100 Please tell me how the average person can afford transportation to work, food utilities, medicine on 100 a month leftover income. @@ACreeperMaybe

I told my job I needed +20% for inflation. They said no. 6 months later I gave notice 1 months notice, and they asked what it would take for me to stay. A week before my last day that they wanted to give me what I asked.. Too late, I'm now making +25% and get an annual bonus based on company performance.

Flight attendants are the most shafted workforce in the world, outside of slave labor, blood diamonds, and servers. It's crazy how a 5-year tenured employee at a major airline effectively makes less than minimum wage, with no tips (it's against policy for most airlines) to compensate.

It needs to become law that if your making such a large sum and your employees are struggling like that, you should be forced to pay each employee 1.5x the amount needed for them to not struggle (even for part time jobs because alot of companies will do 10hr a week part times and have numerous employees all that time is divided up instead of actually giving someone a full time job) for each paycheck since they had started.

We need 30 dollar wages now, id say 20 dollar,but now my city is making it more expensive to have a car because they raised the registration price so they could use a hospital helicopter that costs too much for gas, only for the actual ambulance to get there quicker 😑. And i deliver for a living, might have to find work somewhere where i don't have to drive when my registration is due because im already tight budget as it is, and this is after i completely paid off my house.

Tbf 31 million is like 0.2% of AA’s operating income, a lot for one person’s pay but not much comparing to most expenses. AA’s net profit is still only 822 million - giving the ~30000 flight attendant (assuming all paid 27000) a raise of 18% (146 million) would reduce the net profit by 17%
