I played in a rock band in 1966-67 with Bo Wagner's little brother, Bill Wagner, who was our keyboard player. We were called "The Vondells", and were based in Kettering, Ohio.

I used to live in Dayton, near Kettering. I went to college at UD. I must have just missed the band you were talking about. Then I ended up in Atlanta where some members of Starbuck were from.

Dick Clark was a great interviewer. He always looked genuinely interested and intriguing with the fine artists he talked with. Starbuck was a superb Southern Soft Rock band with a great sound!

I loved most of their music. It was complex and it was happy. It stands the test of time. It’s 2019 and this summer I was at the grocery store and Moonlight Feels Right was playing over the PA system. 43 years later and young people are still hearing it. I’m disappointed that this video cut off before they performed “I Got To Know”. I would have loved to see that.

Also Everybody Be Dancin’ and Searching For a Thrill. These men in this group were such cool, fine, and down to Earth people and still are! They still perform from time to time. Bruce Blackman reminds me so much of Paul Davis. A talented musician, yet very kind and genteel southern man.

Larry actually renamed Starbuck to Korona in 1980, and they then had a song that almost made the Top 40 that same year with, “Let Me Be” (No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100). It was pretty corny and outdated for 1980 LOL

"Touch of country in the city" -Atlanta Rhythm Section 1974. I worked at an automobile assembly facility in Doraville and the folks native to the area clued me in as to the inherent charm of the various locales. I got an education about some filming locations for The Dukes of Hazzard in Covington too. The facility closed in 2008, a couple of years after I'd transferred with my fiancée back north, and today the site is under ongoing development astride I-285 there in Doraville; 'It ain't much, but it's home'. It _was_ my home for two years and I often think of it fondly.

Hello. I'm looking to get a copy of this clip to use in the making of a book trailer. Can you tell me where you found this or where I might be able to contact someone for the right to use it? I can't seem to find anything. I've looked at the ABC website but there really isn't anything that is coming up "media relations" or anything like that. Would appreciate a nudge in the right directions. Thanks.
