I think this audition was better than what he's done on The Voice so far. If you watch his Idol journey, he doesn't stay this good the whole way through.

Sundance's audition was one of the best ever on Idol. I'm amazed Sundance didn't last much longer that season. During season 6, I liked him and Akron Watson, who's another great blues singer. Akron also made it to Hollywood in season 6 but didn't make the Top 24. After seeing Sundance's and Akron's auditions, I predicted the two would meet in the Idol finale. It would have been one of the best finales ever!

I watch only the voice, cuz as the name says, you focus ON THE VOICE, without pregudice. No matter how good american idol or the francise of got talent, i will stick to The Voice. Simon is know for being strict and picky, but that doesn't mean he can be rude and look down on contestants Just my opinion tho. Still i am so glad Sundance tried his luck on the voice, and look where he is now!
@Tahaka27

pinza1993 Gonna disagree with you on this one. The voice is better programme for TV but definitely NOT for contestants. Artists from VOICE has lesser succuss after the show. Simon is harsh like the music industry, he knows who can sell and dont care who can sing.

I like him and he's hunble but, why is everyone going on both shows? Once your time is up on one, you start your career. Trying out for The Voice is going the route to get noticed when he already had his chance on Idol. Next, Danny Gokey or Aaron Carter (similar to Billy) will be auditioning for these shows.

This is the goal personality. Gotta be a little cocky, however, with talent that makes up for it and a sense of homour and accept of, what you're not so good at. More American Idol contestants miss that.

America just don't care for gays. I'm sorry. That's just how it is. You think America is ok with it because that is all you see on tv, but when you get out in the real world......people just ain't buyin' it. Now, I think he sings really well too, but I don't have any desire to promote gaydom when there's many more singers out there who aren't.
@bettylong2487
7 жыл бұрын
billy has a great voice also regardless of gay, straight, or race what have you when he sang the songs you couldn't tell in his voice by his singing that he's gay. gay doesn't make you or break you! but ppl do if u let them! and this is a TV show its about winning and it is what it is... i got a feeling he will still get a recording deal somewhere. I don't hate on anybody because of what they are or what there not!
@tbone9347

I don't hate either and would happily help the ol boy out if he was stuck on the side of the road. I'm just saying I don't care for the lifestyle. I'm not saying I'm condemning anyone. I can say I don't care for the gay lifestyle just like the moron "rage" above can call me dumb names.
@alexmedved6413

T Bone you said you have no reason to promote gaydom when there's other singers out there. How is that not homophobic
@tbone9347
7 жыл бұрын
Exactly. That's my preference.........straight singers that don't force the fact that they're straight. Why is there anything wrong with it. I don't prefer gayness so therefore I go along with what I agree with. Doesn't mean I'm condemning him. He doesn't answer to me nor anyone else here on earth. Just like you or me don't. Why is it that gay singers or actors feel they have to come out and tell the world they're gay. Who cares to know. I do not and if they feel they have to bring their private bedroom lives out and share it to everyone then I have no use for it. It is almost as if they are asking for everyone's approval. You don't need anyone's approval here on earth. I prefer to keep that away from children at all costs.
