My American Airlines Flight 1419 this morning to Charlotte while on my way to Indianapolis.
Noticed upon boarding the plane from the jetway that it had the navy blue cheatline on the fuselage so I immediately knew it was a special heritage livery, in this case that of Allegheny Airlines that I used to see in my youth in the 70s. FYI for those that don’t know, Allegheny Airlines became USAir which was later gobbled up by American Airlines. Took a photo of the Allegheny trail from the terminal as we walked to out connecting flight.
In the approach to Charlotte Douglas International Airport you can see a brief glimpse of the Carowinds Amusement Park
