If that motor is correct and has matching belly #'s, and no welds then it's worth $10-15K as a core, and 25K professionally rebuilt. It would be a plus if it still had open rockers. Let me guess: they'd add another $300 bucks if it was a '36. Poor old guy cornholed hisself.

I used to enjoy this program before I realised all they do is go round ripping people off, the show's model is them basically boasting how cheap they got something then saying how much it's really worth and what they'll sell it for
@pikapikacool

of course they did, it's business, not for personal collection, they have to buy low and sell high.. but there are several times where mike offering more money than the sellers ask..he's pretty fair..

4 жыл бұрын
@@pikapikacool my comment still stands. No collector on the level of which they visit let's their 'precious' items go for a third off market value. It's a show about riping people off. Also every single visit is arranged beforehand by producers and not the actress they have on the phone at the store.
@pikapikacool
4 жыл бұрын
@@JA-yz8eq yes i agree they always buy at low prices, but most of people in this show is a hoarder of some kind, they collect things for many years and they only sell after they ran out of room, got old, or even when they died, their kids who's trying to sell them..so for most of them it's better to sell than hold it till they die, it's easy money, in cash too.. if they were young they might want to keep it, or sell it at an auction, ebay, etc..

@@JA-yz8eq My dude you have really made some foolish comments here. There isn't a business on the planet that doesn't need to operate with a profit margin. You're also ignoring the basic fact that people who sell to dealers are motivated sellers. They have their reasons for taking a lower price. Maybe the need quick money, or need space, or have just decided they're ready to move on. You really should apologise to everyone that had to see your comment.
