A small amount of immigration is fine but taken too far it can be detrimental to the local culture, London for instance has a majority pakistani population and the mayor has just banned the English flag.

Oh, for God's sake check your facts. Are you thick or something? Greater London (as of 2021 census) has a majority white population and the English Flag thing is just something affecting black cabs during the Euro's football! If you can't be bothered to check stuff then please don't insult everyone's intelligence and don't post comments.

No it doesn't - Greater London has a majority white population in the 2021 census. I have no idea where your figure comes from but check your facts. The flag thing only affects black cabs and is only during the Euro football tournament as far as I can tell.

The big thing Tysheen must understand is that the USA is a country full of immigrants from Europe, Russia and the rest of the world, and is very, very new compared to European and Asian cultures. Here in the UK and most of Europe, the overwhelming majority of our populations have always been white for more than a thousand years, maybe as high as 90% white until recently. When you then get an influx of very different people in less than 50 years, it is going to cause problems. Different religions and different ways of life, different beliefs and many of them refusing to adapt or integrate, so it's no wonder there is a backlash now across Europe with anti-immigrant feelings and political parties on the right of centre gaining ground.

I don't mind people going to live in other countries as long as they are willing to make an effort to integrate, pay their way, and show respect to the people of the country they want to call home. Unfortunately, there are too many people arriving in countries who have absolutely zero respect for the people, the culture, the law, or the tax payer.

He not Pakistani, Steve, but rather of a British Asian of Pakistani descent. He was born in Tooting. Why does that matter so much to you? Do you have an issue with other British Asian politicians such as Rishi Sunak, Suella Braverman and Priti Patel, or is it just those of Pakistani descent and, if so, can you please share why! Boris Johnson was born in New York and spent several years of his childhood in New York and Brussels. Is he 'properly' British, whatever that is, in your terms? The flag thing, seems, as far as I can tell from a quick search, to come from TfL (Transport for London) rather than directly from the mayor and apply to all flags, not just the English one, but I really can't be bothered to do a proper check, as it's the weekend, and I don't feel as strongly about as you seem to but, if it does apply all flags does that make it all right. The moral, I think, is don't believe everything (or possibly most things) that you read in the right wing tabloid press, as it might just be a distortion of the truth. Chin Chin 🙂 p.s. You've spelt racist incorrectly. Write it out one hundred times! 🙂

People were saying you were talking crap about pakistanis being the majority in london. They are not. British white people are still the msjority in london when you compare them to the ethnic minorities individually. Asians make up 20% white british make up 36.8 % with in that 20% of asians you have indians, pakistanis, bangladeshis etc. So the pakistanis do not make up the majority in london.

Yes, Steve, I think that you might be correct on that one (I haven't double checked) but London is an international city with ridiculously high property prices but very good transport links, so many people who can afford to commute in and/or choose to live elsewhere for other reasons which may skew the demographics, I'm not sure. My point would be your point has changed from a claim that London has a Pakistani majority with a mayor who wants to ban the flag of St. George to the fact that London has an atypical population demographic for the UK, which is bit less headline grabbing. As I said earlier, please don't base your world view on the UK tabloids. I don't think that story was even covered in the 'grown up' newspapers and websites as, well, it isn't actually true. We're lucky enough to live in a democracy, and I do try and respect different views, but get irritated when these are based on obvious falsehoods and half truths and haven't been properly checked. That's how things like Nazism emerged! My argument was not with you but with some of your 'facts'! There are a number of reasonable 'fact checking' sites. I would always use more than one if possible. Again, do not trust the British tabloids without cross checking what they are saying. 🙂

Excuse me, but who is happy with immigrants going to London ??? White flight was being discussed by genuine Londoners when I was a weekly visitor from late 1970's onwards. The only reason so many London residents are now ''happy with it'' is because the majority are non white and immigrants - the ethnic Brits have been leaving London for many years.

May I ask if the person who is reacting to this video is English, either by birth or from immigration, I ask as you appear to have an American accent, which is fine in itself, but why are you judging this after you all voted Donald Trump in to power? Black, white, what ever ethnicity you are, I’m easy if I’m being judged by my peers, otherwise I would say get your own house in order first, before you judge me. And let’s not forget this is a journalist doing the original film, it’s in his best interest if the interviewee’s come across as skewed, opinionated pillocks. Who’s to say that the 50 other people he spoke to and chose not to put on the air didn’t say everything is just peachy.
