Ironically for an also sort of lighter salad (compared to the rather heavy potato salad with mayo instead of vinegar) have a pasta salad with salad cream, tangerines, curry and tuna (with the sweet/vinegar base from the cucumber/tomato salad as base so it's not as thick of a cream), works surprisingly well together.

Additional information on the bridge demolition: there were houses nearby, so that the bridge had to fall down perfectly. Only 1.5 meters on each side were allowed as „additional landing place“. The houses nearby were also protected by shipping containers, that were filled with water (I think) and they put lots of soil as a „pillow“ on the ground to protect everything around as well.

Slimeshitter isn't as random as it sounds. One (derogatory) verb for "brownnosing" in German is "to slime" (the idea is that you're lying so disgustingly, your lies are covering the other person in slime). We used to say "Don't slip!" if someone was brownnosing too much, because they were sliming so much they'd figuratively leave a trail of slime.

The bridge that was blown up was on a very important north-south highway in Germany. It was not very old, completed only in 1968. But the traffic, also with heavy trucks, has increased extremely. Explanation for "Schleimscheißer": If someone flatters you in an exaggerated way that is not sincere, in Germany we say "Er kriecht ihm in den Arsch" (literally: "He crawls into his ass." - not "He kisses his ass" as in the US ). So: because the hole down there is quite narrow, it is assumed that he needs a lubricant to get in - slime. Another idiom even warns "Pass, dass du nicht auf der Schleimspur ausrutschst." (Be careful not to slip on the slime trail.) which such a flatterer leaves behind. That's why Flatterers are called "Schleimer" (Slimer). And: When someone flatters you, they usually don't say what they think. When someone isn't telling the truth, we like to just say, "Du redest Scheiße." (You're talking shit.) So: What do you call someone who does shit? A "Scheißer" (shiter). So he shits and he slimes out of his mouth. So he is a "Schleimscheißer" (slime shitter).
