I could Imagine that the interview at the US border could go something like this: 😀 -Name? Vince Ebert. -Nationality? German. -Occupation? No, just visiting :-D

Porsche, what model? 911! It was only your reaction that made me think about it. Funny guy but the I have been in Germany I have always appreciated their sense of humour even thought I had always been told that they didn't have one. Oh but they do but it can be subtle

It is highly questionable whether Edison really invented the light bulb. What is certain is that he patented and marketed the invention. It is also certain that he patented a ton of things that others had invented.

It's not even that Thomas Edison actually INVENTED the light bulb. As in something incandescent inside a glass emits light and heat. Thomas Edison's genius was improving the flawed previous versions (yes, multiple versions existed by different inventors) to a point that they became long-lived enough to become a cheap alternative to candles. Because the very first Edison bulbs weren't even much brighter than candles. Granted, that improved quickly. And he knew how to market his 'invention' successfully. So much in fact that he is still credited with the actual invention of the light bulb.

9:10 About going to school, he's referring to grammar. However German acrually allows both: - Ich gehe in die Schule. - Ich gehe zur Schule. The meaning might emphasize slightly different aspects, and there might be regional preferences...

Also ich denk zur Schule gehen heißt nicht das man in die Schule geht und zur Schule gehen kann als Satz verwendet werden um zu beschreiben, dass man nicht arbeitet sondern noch zur Schule geht.

Audi R8 Quattro is up there. I've owned old VW's (a Beetle/2 Bus's) & loved them. I was out used car shopping the other, I saw a Porsche 911 & I had to enquire about it. It was sooo nice. I can't afford it, but had to know. Just had to sit in the driver's seat just to have the experience of sitting in one. I thought this guy was going to be like Henning Wehn, due to your thumbnail. Off down this rabbit hole I go, deep dive in Vince Ebert. Cheers Joel.

Very funny video ! Now may I suggest the video series of a dutch power woman whom crosses the entire ! earth in her own on her motorcycle at the channel called itchy boots. She's got fantastic adventures in 7 series now. She even drove from Patagonia (the very far south of South America all the way up to Alaska. She's got a few subscribers across the world and as a Dutchy I am very proud of her for what challenges she seems to concur over and over again in her adventures. You will see it really is worth it to check it out.

Thomas Edison was the first in the patent office, not the first to make a lightbulb, like so many others, we only remember the ones who were the best at promoting the thing, not the first, that said, being the first only really counts in sports, and only for one year, normally what's of interest is, who's best right now, the past don't really interest anyone but the ones who used to be great, but now aren't.

Maybe you want to check out "Helge Schneider - I was born (Blues) | 02.03.17 Stuttgart". Helge Schneider has his own style of comedy! It's more like a kind of art! < either you love it or you hate it! Wiki says: "Helge Schneider is a German entertainer, comedian, musician, composer, author, film and theatre director, actor, and screenwriter."

These clichés all come from the 12-year Nazi era. Before the Nazis (1933-1945) there was a lot of German humour. Logically, the atrocities were followed by decades in which there was hardly any humour in public.
