@@ajslambinogenuinely asking. Why do Americans cut their food, put the knife down, swap the fork in to the 'knife' hand and then use the fork like a spoon? You (collective) also use your teeth to slide the food off the fork, rather than your lips. On another note fried bread is best done in the fat left in the pan from the sausages and bacon. The Mrs made you perfect 'dippy' eggs. Glad you enjoyed your full English. What's your favourite? Sunday dinner?

Although it's not technically part of a "Traditional Full English Breakfast"... British style Hash Browns were simply produced to fill the gap left by the traditional Bubble & Squeak in most Cafe's around the country... As Bubble & Squeak was usually made at home the following day... From the left over Vegetables and Mashed Potatoes from a Sunday Roast Dinner... And although some Cafe's typically in the south of the country... Were still accommodating to their customers by preparing Vegetables and Mashed Potatoes in-house... Most Cafe's around the country couldn't be bothered doing that... But they still wanted a cheap and easily prepared Potato style item to add to their own English Breakfast versions... So the smaller British style frozen Hash Brown was born... I still have no idea why a factory somewhere in the country couldn't have produced bags of frozen Bubble & Squeak Squares or Round Patties... As i'm sure that most Cafe's around the UK... Would have been happy to both stock and use these... Rather than stocking the non-traditional British style Hash Browns... Which we currently have on our Full English Breakfasts in the UK at the moment.

It always amuses the British and I think most or all Europeans that Americans seem to have no concept on how to use a knife and fork. They insert the fork into whatever they are about to eat and after cutting an amount off of it with the knife as we do, they then instead of simply just keeping the knife and fork as you started and transferring the food to their mouths with the fork, they put the knife down then transfer the fork to the hand that was holding the knife to pick up the food to put into their mouths. 🍽️
