It's a mess, and nobody but click hungry websites or youtubers take it seriously. They don't mention their source, but the IQ:s on this video match the ones released by one online IQ test site... Measuring IQ requires very strict control of the test environment and at the very least you have make sure you have a representative sample. I checked and the survey data they reference in this vid was taken from online tests people complete at their own initiative. In some countries this will lead to strong selection effects (for example for people with higher education and/or access to technology), in others in won't. But the data is close to useless if it's not from a random sample and the test was taken in a controlled environment. Neither of which is the case here. Just ignore that part of the video, honestly.

And I mean - A LOT. 98% of the students are from Asian background, and majority of them are Chinese. IQ-statistics differ slightly depending on source, since no study is based on measurements of the whole population. But 109 for Vietnam is wrong. Most studies have landed at 89 for Vietnam rather than 109. No country in the world have a population with an IQ as high as 109. Indicating 20 to high is a very, VERY big error. You should correct that. There are smaller population groups with an average IQ close to as high as that, but non where it is the mean IQ for the population. That said, the very high IQ present in every country - for a small percentage of the population - makes every country rich with intellectual talents, there are brilliant inventors everywhere. And - people can also have so many other talents than IQ!

The first question was a little confusing with the caption. I suppose they were looking for the inception date of the current republic or other form of government. The US flag changes every time we add a state, so the current flag we're using is from 1959, when Alaska and Hawaii were admitted, and we went from 48 stars to 50 stars. Wisconsin seems to skew the US in favor of higher IQ and more alcohol consumption. I'm investigating whether there might be a correlation there. I'm planning on doing some research New Year's Eve, assuming I don't get to it sooner.

We believe that a high IQ will translate in advance into high school performance or success in life (although the results of long-term studies indicate that IQ is a rather poor indicator of success in life). Numerous research results show, for example, that even in the population of scientists, who according to many of us are considered to be the intellectual elite, the differences in the possessed IQ are significant. It follows that to make a career in the world of science you just have to be smart enough (not necessarily outstanding) - even among Nobel laureates, the IQ range ranges from 130 to 180 points. Perhaps you will think that the scientist's IQ indicated above is still above the average, which oscillates around 100. However, remember that scientific work is about practicing your own intelligence on a daily basis - high IQ may be the result of choosing a scientific career, not the real reason for becoming a scientist .

It was very much expected. East Asia are in general is very high because of how academic performance is closely linked with status in those cultures. It's also at least nominally communist, not in economic reality of course but that still means that the state is involved in at least trying to provide opportunities of education for the people. Knowledge and IQ are of course different but you can absolutely train IQ by performing tests in stem subjects. The fact that most of the population have access to education due to relative equality and most of them are driven to perform by a culture that values academic success make them the obvious winner. Europe all being equal is also very much expected, the reason is that much like in Vietnam education is available to everyone. But unlike Vietnam there's no cultural ideal to perform in academia, children are told that they can be whatever they want and the high status role models that become their ideals are celebrities, so they focus more on creative performances than academic competition. The big countries being much lower is also completely expected because of inequality. Most people who are born in the United States, Indonesia or Brazil can never expect to have an academic career so why would they be motivated to excel at taking tests? They are born poor and they will die poor, their priority is feeding their families because there's no way they'd ever afford university anyway.

I'm vietnamese but I think the IQ stats for Vietnam here is way off. All the sources from 2022 that says Vietnam's average IQ is 109 ranked in 9th place is from Vietnamese sources, which I don't really trust. Anyone can confirm this?

The question was who has the biggest GDP. Not what is the richest country. You should pay more attention. Bigger economy and more people also means more power in the global market. Something that tiny countries with few people don't have even if they are rich.

That IQ ranking here is completely BS, By the way. It was clearly taken from an unrepresentative source, that isn't using objective measures in controlled conditions. Reliable IQ tests have to be abstract to prevent skewing features from compromising the test, E.g. educational capability. With these results demonstrated here, it appears that the most developed countries have a much higher IQ(Except Vietnam). The history of testing, using frequent testing of IQ differences, between groups, using rigourous and reliable statistics, show that between Countries, genders and ethnicities, IQ is very similar, with the average close to 100, with a standard deviation, which doesn't fluctuate much either

2:14 WRONG, should be this order: 1. Swedish Flag (No one seems to be entirely 100% as it's a bit more tricky to figure out. It dates between 1275 and 1521 which is a huge gap as no one can really pinpoint it) 2. French flag (Being derived from the Dutch flag (Netherlands) since 15 February 1974 although this isn't entirely true as it's recolored slightly in 1974) 3. Germany (23 May 1949 just after the war for obvious reason. However it actually did exist from 1919 to 1933 before Hitler took over) 4. Indonesia (originally adopted on 28 October 1928 but twice changed making the current flag from 17 August 1950) 5. Vietnam (adopted on 23 November 1940, however it did have a few revisions with the last in 1955) 6. US Flag (Yes, you could argue that it was based on the Grand Union Flag (1775) but actually the flag did get changed over time several times over. So the current flag is actually from 1960) 7. Brazil (19 November 1889, but it got a change on 11 May 1992 making it technically very young) Average IQ one is wrong too, Sweden is the absolute number one here. Their education system is insanely good. Number 2 Germany, 3 is Vietnam, 4 France, 5 Indonesia, 6, Brazil and last US. No offense to any of the countries or the ladies, but this is the truth. If you mix in social studies and religion you don't really get bright students, which is all too clear looking at the US where foreigners take up the top spots where education seriously counts. Hardly any US residents get close to such levels. Which country experiences sex faster, US no doubt. They promote it in the last few decades rather clearly that even kids under 5 are not off limits for some reason. Also this one is completely wrong. Sorry for the ladies, this isn't meant as a insult in any way. But over all the current generations of 15-35 are the dumbest in history for the western world in general. They wish to believe all kinds of stupid things and then change the world because 'muh feelings!' which makes things worse and not better. Older generations would talk, not riot or cause trouble for everyone. I don't wish to say my generation is so bright, clearly is not. But this problem started already after WW2 where baby boomers could get anything they desired and not think about the future. Companies that seriously caused trouble with adding bs products or senseless reasoning just to get more money in. My generation seen it coming, we warned this would happen and even Einstein seen it coming: "technilogy goeos way to fast, we will have a generation of complete idiots". Which happens to be the cellphone generation. I mean, they drag that thing everywhere and have it firmly pasted in their hands and to their faces and then find it strange accidents happen and that they can't find a date or get proper social skills. With that said, IQ is only a number. That you have that capacity doesn't mean you are limited to it. You can have a very low number but proof every day you are actually very smart in how you handle daily life. You can have a huge number, but proof you can not use it or even show a rock might be smarter because you don't know how to use it or don't want to. So IQ level doesn't say anything in the long run, actions do.

Sweden definitely has the oldest flag considering that the first legal description of the flag was made in a royal warrant of 19 April 1562 as "yellow in a cross fashioned on blue". Flags at that time were only flown on ships, and not by the people on other occasions.
@chithiennguyen1371

You are wrong, IQ and education system isn't the same. IQ can be a natural born gift, academy education is just for training it. Sweden can have the best education system, it still doesn't mean their average IQ is higher than Vietnam. If you put a Vietnamese to Sweden or German education, they will perform at the top. I heard this from Germany, that Vietnamese is the ethnic groups that having the highest rate of bachelor's degree and above in Germany.
