Twiglets are one of my favourite snacks. I can eat kilos of them! They're yeast extract flavoured, like Marmite, so you either absolutely love them or hate them. I find most people who like them started out by trying one, hating it, then going back for another a little later, hating it less. then maybe eating a couple more. Until they got addicted lol

Fun review guys. Just to feedback from my experience on where these were marketed at - Monster Munch (and Quavers) were more of a kids crisp, very popular in the 1980s schoolyard for their size and strong taste; the scampi and bacon fries were typically found behind the bar in pubs and so were targeted at people looking for lots of salt and flavor after a few pints of ale (so kinda substituting for a trip to the chippy); tyrrells were more of a latter-day yuppie higher-priced snack, and twiglets would be right at home at your parents 1970s house party.

It always amazes me how the myriad of different crisp flavours that we have in the UK, amaze Americans. You've only just scratched the surface with "Roast Beef" - there are loads of more unusual flavours. Back in the day I remember when "Kipper" was an available flavour, (Kipper as in Smoked Herring) and a few years ago, somebody produced "Hedgehog" flavour crisps; (artificially flavoured, but the authenticity to the taste of roasted hedgehog was verified by gypsies!) ASDA supermarkets in the UK used to produce a "Baked Jacket Potato with Butter" flavour. Yep, potato flavoured crisps!? big deal eh? but they actually tasted of BAKED potato, plus you could taste the salty butter in there too. (My favourite crisps in the UK are Brannigan's, Roast Beef and Mustard flavour - beefier than the usual beef crisps, but also with an added kick of hot English mustard!)

@handsolo1209

@@BoringReviews I can't speak for anyone else, but your honesty is what makes you guys real. If people get offended by someone else disliking a flavor then they have serious issues. Marmite & Vegemite are a flavor that has to be built up slowly by having tiny amounts to start with. The Twiglets are a lot of that taste so I can see that they would be way too overpowering for a first timer. I like Marmite & Vegemite myself, but many people in the UK & Australia hate the stuff. The Bacon fries was my mistake totally. There is a cheap snack called Frazzles which is a bacon flavor corn snack. I thought the bacon fries would be a better version. I have never had them so I had no idea of what they tasted like. The scampi fries I thought were just so different that it would be cool for you to try. At least I can take solace that you liked the sweet stuff! I did not send the Jamie Dodgers because of the name. I didn't even see that connection until you said it. I would have sent Yankee bars if I had thought about it. You do know of course that the only MLB player/coach that I ever met in real life was a Dodger's player though. I am baffled by the issue with me not showing up on the CFA account. I guess I'll have to make a different account for CFA streams. I have missed trolling Gabe for the last few livestreams.

I think that the attitude you should take with these taste tests is now you know what you may talk about instead of speculating about it, ok? You’ve actually tried the more modern stranger tasting chips (crisps) that we have. The originals back in the 50s sold in the pub me Dad went to were kmade by “Smiths” I think, they had a tiny blue bag of salt so that you had the chance of adding it yourself. Then came the cheese flavour but that’s history. Walkers came later with the same original flavours. The soft drinks we had back then were orange pop you’d call it soda, my favourite was Vimto. We also had Scratchins which are just roasted pigs rind mind you, you had to watch breaking your teeth on it. Tasty though! As a matter of interest the used to have people come round to the pubs with little jars so cockles and mussels to sell! The sandwiches for sale were cheese, cheese and onion, ham and black pudding with onion. That was it for the pubs at that time. Most of them are now are secondary restaurants also. I don’t think anyone eats twiglets. Cheers both a good honest appraisal of modern British snacks, thanks
