Japanese people often ask me which man I prefer Nikusyoku-kei or Sousyoku-kei? In Japanese we could say "Kawaii" to men. If I say "My brother is cute", that sounds strange. We say "Cute" to dogs or cats. Personally, 男らしいmeans confess someone he loves.

I'd probably say, 'wow this goes down easy' or 'wow this drink is smoothe'

American masculinity is also appear to be aggressive. Dominant. So the beard and muscles are good and somewhat easier way to do so men workout, take supplements, and know a few even take steroids and workout at the gym to get attention. Less focus on working or gaining skills. But social skills are more important. Which is better may fit in one’s personality I think but it’s interesting that Japan and US are so different on this usse
He is good at baseball.

Americans!! for me. we have concepts or distinguish ' uchi to soto' . Clothes, Omotenashi, etc. I believe USA has it too. Half thrieve in autum at official scene better avoid. those unverval custom we have a lots and that not good part of Japan too. However those side of aspect keeps our country as one unite Japan. Privately we don't care whatever you wear. we try not to be individual-izm . all of above i ve assumed you ve known it. sorry. and sorry for my bad English. beard is not masculinity for me. if it's majority..faction? illusion? masculinity dose not any accessory like bears. no?
