When I see the crystals come out of the mud I get very excited, the thrill of seeing what colour and whether its a single or a cluster is a great treat for me lol. Bryan you show crystal hunting as it is and your pleasure when someone shows you what they have found is wonderful, your enjoyment of their happiness shows in your videos. The Southern Sportsman (Frank White) would say "Take a kid fishing" , so take a kid Crystal hunting .

When are you coming back to Arkansas? I did some mining with my boys all day Saturday (it was about a 3 hour drive one way). We got some great quartz clusters and some nice points! A few smokies, tabbies and rainbows. My wife tells me that we aren't allowed to go mining anymore until she gets a girl's trip with our daughters, though. :( She'll probably win that argument. ;-)

I want to journey to this place. I have ASD, agoraphobia, OCD, PTSD, & severe anxiety, all of which have been both exacerbated & soothed by the pandemic, so I doubt I will. I have to settle for buying my rocks from rock shops.

I live pretty close to four peaks Arizona which is Americas biggest amethyst mine. They let anyone get amathysts from the mine but also here in Arizona are tons of gems naturally found anywhere in a-z considering all of Arizona is mountains, dead volcanoes & desert

@@TheCrystalCollector I’m going to go to Thunder Bay Amethyst Mine in Ontario Canada before they close October 1st and next door/ right by there is another site that’s open till October 10th but it is far away ? other side of (Canada) and…. I am not sure how challenging the dig would be. I think some rocks and gems might just be a lot on the surface. I haven’t seen anything in searches online compared to what you have had in your videos. Have you ever been?

It’s different type of vents somewhat, hydrothermal vent‘s from tectonic movement another things. In Arkansas you can actually get tiny pieces of amethyst that form with the same area of the diamonds, but the amethyst is super small and very faint purple

It’s $15 a day to dig, keep everything you fine. You could find crystals on the surface or you can dig down to try your luck for the vein system

As pockets cool over time, the material from the fluid that doesn't precipitate out/grow as crystals is a clay/mud type of mixture.

Millions of years after the crystals formed, there was still enough area for ground water to penetrate inside the voids, causing the mud to slowly sleep in to the pockets
