Thanks for going in depth about the credit for this card. It’s a keeper card if you can utilize all the credits!!

I downgraded because I didn’t have incidentals. Also I was told I could product change back up when I started traveling again.

Hi can you make a video on how to use Hilton Aspire benefits for the trip to Maldives. I really like your videos. Also for the 250 resort credit (used in US) if you book something a few months before your resort credit renews ,using the flex rate , and then stay in the hotel resort after the credit renews will you get credited even though you reserved way before. Thanks

If you do that, I'm pretty sure your credit from the first year will expire and not be activated. But you can call the resort and inquire about putting a deposit down for your stay before the credit expires and that should allow you to use the credit if they accept the deposit. I'll definitely consider the Maldives video, too.

OK thanks I think my question was confusing , The resort credit is based on when you stay and not when you place the booking that’s what I meant. I already used the credit for the first year . Thanks

Ok. Yeah if you book a flex rate and pay at check out then it will be based on when you stay.

If you're a Mileage Club member for United (credit card holder) and gift yourself another Annual Membership using the AMEX airline credits, does it convert into travel money, or extend your membership another year?

you were going back and forth. i have a resort 2 hour from me. if i stay 2 nights at $200 a night i can use that $250 credit to bring it down to 150.00 total correct?
@UponArriving

Yes, room rates apply -- just make sure it is an eligible resort.

I was considering getting this card. then I realized that it didn't have gas and Groceries as the 7% category like the ascend does (at 6%). So considering I already have the CSP for travel it didn't make sense to upgrade to this one. The free night makes it tempting but considering I already make the 15K spend on the ascend for the free night in the bonus categories it kindof became a no-brainer.

I just got this card, do I have to wait a year to use my resort credit?
@UponArriving
5 жыл бұрын
No, your resort credit will be active right away! It will reset one year after account opening which sounds like it might be close to the calendar year mark for you (Jan 1).

In the video, you mentioned posting a link to the resort properties list. Could you please share that with me and consider posting it in the video notes? Thank you.

@@UponArriving Appreciate the link. Led a humble life up to this point. New to the "travel/rewards" game. Looked at the map of locations. Confused at how the properties in the Midwest for $149/night can be considered "resorts" but Waldorf/Conrad properties in Chicago/Indy are...not??

Welcome to the high life! I agree the resort list is very odd considering how many properties aren't on there. Not sure what goes into that decision on Hilton's end.

Good information. Is there a way to get the resort credit for the aspire and platinum in one stay?
@UponArriving
5 жыл бұрын
Hey, are you talking about using the FHR program? If so, if the Aspire is in the same name as the Platinum Card, you should be able to use it at check out at the resort and activate the credit without an issue.

UponArriving thanks. I wonder since the charges have to go to your room would you have to split the bill and use both cards to pay. I like the video. Keep them coming
@UponArriving

@@jessekaplan4638 Thanks! I don't think you'd have to split the bill -- you should be able to pay with any Amex card in your name. Only real issue with not using Platinum Card is that you miss out on 5X with prepaid FHR stays.

I booked through their resort portal and booked the advance rate, however everything I did on property was charged to the room. Am I suppose to get the 250 resort credit?
@UponArriving

If it's an eligible resort then you should get the $250 credit but if the resort is in the US, there might be an issue with getting the $250 credit because you booked an advanced rate.
@cigneska

Youre supposed to book under the flexible rate he literally just said it in the video. FLEXIBLE will offset the charge.
