I use bendable curling rods in the neck area, stuffing around it. Dollar store has them. Works wonders

First of all, thank you for doing this crochet along and offering different options to participate. You’ve provided every single option possible, there’s just no excuse not to participate. I’ve been looking for an amigurumi doll pattern with multiple accessories and clothing and then I found you through Teri at the Yarnjoy Podcast. I just started but am having fun and very excited to play catch up. I cannot wait to see everything once it’s all said and done. Also, thank you for sharing the back loop method of attaching the hair wig. I’ve been hating my current process as it leaves the hair wig and strands a little wavy as I pull on the stitches to attach to the head. I’ll definitely be giving this method a try. It may just be the game changer I’ve been looking for in my dolls’ hair. Thank u thank u thank u

This tutorial is amazing but when I was doing the head as I was stuffing the head was flopping a lot I even tried to stuff the neck part again but it wasn’t working❤

I’m glad you liked the tutorial. Unfortunately, it sounds like you still didn’t have sufficient stuffing in your doll and that is causing the head to flop. The doll should feel liked a firm orange. In future dolls, if you’re not confident with the amount of stuffing you have added or want to be extra sure that the neck will support the head, you could add something to support the neck before finishing stuffing the head and closing it up.

Dbajmy o nasze maluszki.

May I ask why do you increase in a way that it makes you have stitches left over at the end. The way you increase seems more complicated.. I love your work and I made my first doll with your pattern. Just trying to get good and do my own thing and I got confused with your increases
@TheLoopyLamb

I offset the increases so that they do not stack on top of each other. When you stack the increases ontop of eachother, they become more noticeable and you get distinct points on a rounded shape making it look kind of like a hexagon. By offsetting the increases you get a more rounded circle and the increases are less noticeable.

My doll that I'm making is bigger than the one in the tutorial. It would require the wigcap to also be bigger. How would I make a wigcap in the same style??
@TheLoopyLamb

It really depends on the size of your doll. Assuming that you’re using a completely different doll, you’d have to continue increasing until it was big enough, work the sides and then figure out where to add the pigtails.

Why did the head come out so wobblely😢
@TheLoopyLamb

If your head came out wobbly, it means that you have understuffed your toy, likely in the shoulders and neck area.
