Amir really not reacting to the music here. Especially with that 1st round with nice originality. The second walking and freezing on his hands to much at the beginning. He should have gotten to it sooner.

Yes it is, I saw this on the live and I saw that impact some bboys , especialy Issin who's not use to crash a lot but this Day he did because of that. I really hope they'll fix it, it's breaking, not gymnastic floor

How does the "Olympic Qualifier" Work? Shouldn't it be a team from each country Qualifying who represents the Country? BOTY standards (Via Crew) Red Bull BC One Standard (Solo) Why is Amir (Russia) competing against Hong10 (South Korea) Competing for an Olympic Qualifier?

It’s not a team battle. Everyone for themselves in a round robin format. Each round you win, you receive points. Everyone at the end gets seeded based on cumulative points.

I think it’s a bit different where not every country gets a set number of representatives per sport. I think it’s just whoever gets enough points goes to the Olympics, and they rep their country there. So like in Europe, the Netherlands had 2 people who received enough points, so their country gets represented, while other countries won’t.

Each country has a NOC (National Olympic Committee) that decides who represents the country. For the past couple of years, there have been about a dozen Breaking for Gold events, where everyone who was nominated by his or her country's NOC was showing up and competing in them. Those events were mostly qualifiers for the 2 OQS (Olympic Qualifier Series) events, the one in Shanghai last month, and this one in Budapest. Everyone who participated in the Breaking for Gold events got assigned points to them, depending on how far they got in each event, and the people with the most points (or in certain events, the 1st-4th place competitors) qualified for the 2 OQS events, which are the final qualifiers for the Olympics. Competitors got assigned points depending on how far they got in each of the OQS events, and the top 10 competitors with the highest points go on to the Summer Olympics. TLDR: They basically took the top 40 breakers who have been competing in Olympic qualifiers for the past couple of years, and those 40 got to battle it out in 2 final qualifiers, and the top 10 from those 2 qualifiers get to go on to the actual Olympics.

he is the only one who keep improvising his own craft compared to a lot of bboys.... name me few bboys who have different sets all these years pls!

Originality is very important. In fact, Amir admitted this after losing to Hong 10. However, after losing to ree, I was so dumbfounded that I couldn't admit it. Hong10 is the only B-Boy among Red Bull members without controversy. Don't underestimate him.

The comment shows your ignorance towards breaking dance. World Top Bboys all have their signature, but they use them in different combinations. There is no way a bboy can improvise any set during a battle. Hong 10 is just winning too much so you think his sets are repetitive.
