An excellent tutorial !! Thanks so much for bringing to us the genuine way of making a rug with only knotting. I've searched long and hard to find instructions anywhere without the use of a tool such as a crochet hook or toothbrush, Thank you for doing this for all of us. :)

Just a tip......I use a LARGE Safety pin as my tool...they work GREAT and only cost pennies!!

If you use a core strip to to knot around your rug it keeps its shape and looks much nicer. Also instead of using your fingers use a little plastic or wooden needle. Even a huge safety pin works, but not as well.

thanks for NOT using a crochet hook. You aren't trying to be an assembly line worker, or piece mill worker, so who cares about speed! More time just means you put more love into it!
