Not a bad first attempt at opening one. MUCH easier to open them on the ground instead of a shaky table surface (harder to film). Barnaul is tier 1 7.62x39 food and you will not be disappointed. Normal cans have 700 rounds in them and are packed much tighter, but the opening procedure is the same.

Just saw this but so you know, it's actually cheaper to buy it in the 100 round boxes than in the Spam Can in the Monarch brand at Academy. I'm talking price per round.

I could be wrong since its been so long since I've opened one of these but I believe you may have had an easier time if you cut away from yourself instead of draggin the blade towards you with each puncture. I'm not sure if that makes sense...

They have broken these down from the Russian crates that contained two. You are paying more for the price of one. There is a lot of ammo and gun price gouging these days. What a shame!

I believe they put come take it on all the cans. Not just ones in Texas. And they are copper washed...they are a bi metal alloy with a copper wash.

I never use the tool but if you do just put it on the countertop and not a shaky table. I use a punch and hammer...much faster for me.

@@albundy7459 lol I live in the Oregon Coastal valley range so I’m probably seeing higher humidity levels than you. When seawater evaporates the salt doesn’t evaporate with the water. We see this with saltwater fish tanks when the water evaporates the salinity increases. Carbon is a product of something burning. If you want to see dirty ammo, grab you some 1970’s Romanian surplus.

It was $220 back when I bought mine but now with the Ukraine / Russia conflict going on it's hard to say as Russian has been banned on selling ammo in the U.S.

I'm guessing you wish you bought a couple more now 😀 Barnaul has pretty much dried up in stores here in Canada due to sanctions. I bought some barnaul subs today (not that that means anything protecting your hearing with a can is illegal here) but I haven't seen any Russian x39 on shelves other than that.

@@fmj8329 the ammo is great. Steel casing. Shoots great. Once I have all the ammo unpackaged I put it in dry safe plastic ammo boxes for easy access.

@@22addict40 the sticker on that spam can is the Gonzalez flag. Yes the phrase Molon Labe or Come and Take it were used prior to the Battle of Gonzalez. But it wasn't used as a flag prior to Texas fighting for its independence.
