Not only are their muscles strong, they have endurance as well. This translates to wearing out defenders and being able to focus and run routes late in the game when others are tired.

A very interesting approach to training. They don't use much full range of motion or controlled eccentric movements.

They're not training for size, they're training for explosiveness. Slow eccentrics is a body building technique. If you want to increase the % of fast twitch muscle fibres speed and explosiveness of the concentric is more important. They're also using momentum to train past the point a lot of bodybuilders would consider failure.

Short bursts heavy duty. The more I see weight training 💪🏽 and muscle stimulation videos more I see Mike Mentzer was correct. He believed you can do short lifts more weights with significant rest points. Replenish the body with water and well balanced diets. At of people today try to over complicate working out.

Hi im 40 years old going into my 2nd year of playing semi pro football 11 on 11 tackle. Is 5 sets of 2-12 reps good for auxiliary lifts and 5 sets of 2-5 reps for heavy compound lifts?
