RIP all the actors of this show. Technology has immortalized you. I’m wondering what historians and the public in general will think of this show in a 100 years when they study 20th century TV entertainment.

That depends if the historians be black or white! See this depicted blacks when they were what we use to call, well to do. Blacks from the 60s on back we're doing for themselves. Black businesses, black ownership. Our culture has been demenished by modern day people who have no sense of black culture.

God Amos is a wonderful character and an amazing straight man to King Fish and Andy and the boys. They gave Amos the most beautiful lines. He comes off as kind hearted, generous, level headed and a true friend. Very cool indeed.

Extremely funny show that is suitable for the whole family. This show was similar in some ways to shows like the Honeymooners,or I love Lucy. The characters are all very well-played here.

It was in no way similar to I Love Lucy let alone The Honeymooners. Lucille Ball used physical humor and Jackie Gleason used machismo. Although both were outstanding. Amos ‘n Andy played on situations that can happen to anyone. Superb acting and writing.

As fat and out of shape as Andy and the Kingfish were, they had a lot of nerve talking about that woman's body! Amos, Sapphire, Calhoun, and Lightning were the only ones who weren't obese!

Crazy but I bet if they’d just said Kingfish was helping Andy by loaning him the ring so he wouldn’t lose Juliet as Andy didn’t have the money to get one so quickly it wouldve come off as being kind of sweet and maybe even romantic tot he girls instead of conniving !

Wonderful actors ! Not many folks know that Spencer Williams (Andy Brown), produced low-budget Black films and started in some, too. ! The show was taken off the air, as Black Organizations complained that the show portrayed Blacks as foolish and dishonest.. THAT may have been true in some ways....I recall losing jobs ONLY by my skin color, and dating opportunities as well...I was hired by phone, (as my ethnicity could not be detected in my speaking voice..) When I sat down with some employers, the jobs "mysteriously" we're "taken..!". Today, Black actors and actresses DO get some leading rolls, but in general, have a way to go...! To enjoy Amos & Andy, one has to suspend anti-race "reality", and relax and laugh ! One day I will try BLATZ beer ! I discovered that it STILL exists ! One last point... As far as TV images...The Honeymooners

@@gilloera8912 it's just a bunch of butt hurt ugly simple minded people who act like people in the real world don't mispronounce words. Archie Bunker of AITF use to mispronounce words all the time and nobody was butt ugly hurt, just a bunch of bs to keep these pioneering performers from getting the accolades they so richly deserve.
