This finally looks like a decent correlate of 'rings' printing consciousness- the crests of amplitude modulation across frequency channels. This is from EEG from Fp1, but it is essentially an identical signal at Fp2 and very similar across the entire frontal cortex ('LFP' local field potential). As you can see, the audio of my voice modulates the waveforms, but not in an 'artifact' kind of way, in a dynamic manner in which it chooses which frequency channel to modulate. Things having to do with foot, or things over time, or volume things tend to ride on the lowest frequencies (3-7 Hz). A cough will sometimes modulate 30 Hz, but sometimes leave that untouched and only modulate, say, 20 Hz. Could still be artifacts, just looks extremely promising.
