Thanks for much for taking the time to film this sonic exploration of shoegaze amp tones- really inspiring. I'm fortunate to have a JC-40, AC15 and a Fender Vibrolux Reverb (runt cousin of the Twin Reverb). Each with its own personality and vibe. Sometimes it's fun to split the signal with an ABY and combine two of the amps into stereo for complete immersion into swirling madness. Long live shoegaze and dream pop.

I have a JC-80 from the 70s possibly. Basically a single 15" version of JC-120. I love the sound and that 15" gives just that extra bottom end.

Honestly am interested in pedals but after being in thrash bands for so long hard to go past a ADA MP1, rack mount classic with tube, solid state, midi, cleans with chorus to die for and a super flexible dual gain stage. Love Alvvays, Sunflower Bean ect but hard to go back to pedals now let alone combos, though I do love my Vox 10 watt bass pathfinder combo to get good clean amplification for my rack at friendly volumes for practice at home. Yes I run a $2k rack through a $100 mini bass practice amp (ada and rocktron prophesy with a mosfet power amp from the 80s) but it slaps if I don't need 150 watts of deafening. pedal partners you should look into budget racks, ADA was $300 when I bought one (now closer to 1k), paid $250 for my prophesy which used to go for $2K. Grunge might have killed the rack scene, amp modellers like AXE FX might have killed older rack equipments value but rack mount is definately a good and flexible technology on a budget.

@@pedalpartners defs worth a try. seems more complicated at first compared to a few pedals but easier than a full pedal board. cheaper than marshall heads with better tone tho from personal experience. bear in mind this is my opinion from playing in metal bands and rate my rig higher than way more expensive rigs other bands have run in the local scene.

Johnny Greenwood loves his Fender Deluxe. I have one and can confirm, great cleans and reverb. The dirty channel isn't as good, but that's what pedals are for. The thing is also loud, and can be bought for very cheap.
