Maybe this being a simpler subject had something to do with it, but I enjoyed the shorter video length with assembly in stages, versus your later longer videos with a continuous construction. I loved how it turned out. Thanks for the entertainment and building inspiration, Jason

Ohh, this is SO evocative of that age, the Roaring 20s! You have encapsulat- ed it perfectly, Chris! I would love to see a diorama with a couple of these, one weathered mod- erately to show it's service in a grittier setting. Accompanying them would be two of the 1:25th-scale kit of the 1925 Model T (if I recall correctly, it is a three in one kit), one as a sedan, the other what I believe folks then had called a depot hack. They would rest upon a sheet of polystyrene textured as brick, to sim- ulate cobblestone. One would use other similar scratch-build materials to construct storefronts depicting a busy day. Preisser figurines suitably altered with appropriate attire would populate the periphery.

This kit (the old Budweiser version) holds a very special place in my heart, because it was the only kit I ever picked out at the store with my grandfather when I was about 8 or 10 years old. He was a Ford Model A restorer, and he was so happy I picked an old Ford (there weren't any Model A kits at the store that day). When I first started collecting again, an old Budweiser version was the first model I bought and I've bought the releases since. Yours turned out nice. Looking forward to building a couple of mine again. Thanks for the review.

actually direct order from the factory they were black the individual companies had them re painted in the colors they wish to have them in the old saying was for the Model T was you can have it any color you want as long as its black that included most all the types of T's you did a very nice job on the T

Thanks. I built this because I did a review on the kit a couple years ago and recently someone said the kit fits like garbage and what not. So I have this new boxing and tried it out. No problems to speak of on anything. Multi-piece chassis/frames and bodies aren't for everyone though, they can cause fits if you don't take your time.

I re-watched your original review just yesterday and found the kit on Amazon for under $20 but no mention of the retro candy decals but they're probably included, they also have the Coca Cola version for about $25 which has retro Coke decals and a cardboard cutout display base. So glad you posted the build for this one! I'll probably get both since they are such great classics. As always a great review and build thanks Chris!

Just got this model but mine is a coca cola version. Should I cut along the joint lines on the hood and tape them to make a working hood?

I think you should do what makes you happy. An opening hood always looks cool.

First off, let me say I love your videos. Your straightforward non-pretentious approach to building is a breath of fresh air. I notice you don't putty any flaws (that I've seen) or ejector pin holes etc. nor do you pay much attention to painting the interior roof a different colour as is often seen in 1:1. Is this a conscious decision to hurry along your builds? Keep up the great work!

Depends, on some I use putty, some not. Depends on how I feel about it and how much it shows.

Wow. ! I've driven a 1927 T. I confess I was surprised to find that the throttle , break and clutch were not like a modern standard. It was fun though. Nice build. Thanks for sharing.

Why don't you show painting/spraying tip and tricks?
@hpiguy

I do on some reviews and not others. On my Ktinga review I showed it being painted and how I got the mottled green finish. I'm reviewing the kit and how well it goes together or not so well if it has problems. If it has any assembly problems or issues I show those.

Most kits you do are older. ( I like that) But could you do a newer kit of a 40s or 50s car or truck?
@hpiguy
5 жыл бұрын
All the build reviews on the channel are kits that are being released soon or have been released within the last month. There are very very few 'all new mold' kits out there, most are reissues of older kits with updates like new decals, wheels, etc. The only new mold kit released recently was the 68 Chevelle that I reviewed. the rest are all older mold kits being released with some updates.

Great build! I've seen many of those wheels. In fact their often seen in Flea markets in my area. The wheel rim is metal not wood so it usually turns a gray metallic color. I really like this model and I'm definitely getting one.
