Things are back to somewhat normal along the Ventura County Line. Trains were back up and running only two days after Amtrak 14's derailment, albeit slowly. They were limited to about 10 mph through the repair zone as crews continued to work.
The Coast Starlight, meanwhile, did not go back into service this far south until nearly a week and a half after the accident.
Footage shown was taken mostly chronologically, between 7/2 - 7/12. Mixed in here is a brief clip I took on my way to work of the damaged Superliner cars from the accident. As soon as they were parked in the yard, their springs broke, and they derailed once more. The locomotives are hidden behind the box cars.
