This song moves me every time I listen to it. It rescued me from a very dark place emotionally and I pull it up occasionally to remember how much I realized I had to live for after a period when I didn’t feel like going on. No matter how bad the heart breaks, there’s always love, somewhere in your life, that heals. God really used Amy in my life with this one!

I still don’t understand why more people don’t mention Amy Grant when discussing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She is perhaps the most influential Christian artist of all time and her music applies to people of all walks of life. Having followed her from her first album in 1977 to the present, I’ve never heard a bad song. She’s gotten her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and been awarded with the Kennedy Center Honors. I truly feel the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is due!

Such a wonderful and emotional song both lyrically and melodically. Amy Grant consistently offers the longing heart and listening ears, profound musical gems. Priceless, treasured, and beautiful.

One of the most beautiful works she has ever done. This should be a hit! Just LOVE The bridge -well, everything about this song! The only sad thing is the heartbreak she endured for so long, but the silver lining is a balm for all of our souls that experience this type of suffering.

This song is so special. Amy has put out some epic music over the decades. And as popular as she always was, she was still underappreciated, and this song is an example of that. The only issue about Amy as far as I'm concerned is that I didn't warm up to her last couple of albums. She went in an unusual direction and sort of lost her spark for me with those projects. And unfortunately she can't hit the notes that she use to, but she is still awesome, she is still lovely, and she will end up being a legend. I am a massive fan, ever since I first heard her back in the 1970's! Now, that is mind-blowing that the legend started that far back. I have been to 5 concerts, have all of her albums--- which is up in the twenties or more, have her dvds from back in the day, and even know about all of her projects with other artists and groups. For me, she is right up there with Neil Young, Pentatonix, Alter Bridge, and Creed. Awesomeness.

God bless you Jim. If you dont mind, let me know on here how the concert goes and tell me if you think that she struggles with her singing like I think she does. Take it easy bud. And good luck with all your life goals. @JimAllen-Persona

My interpretation is that she is talking about herself. Loving herself enough to leave. Not saying goodbye to herself. She said in an interview AFTER divorce..."I was feeling like I was coming to life again".

Why do lovers drift apart and how does love fade away? When do pieces of a broken heart mend again? You've been crying in the dark and you've been feeling alone Don't be scared of what you'll find when you turn the light on Ain't nobody gonna say goodbye, no ain't nobody gonna walk away This time, baby, I'm learning how to love you, love you Ain't nobody gonna make you cry No ain't nobody ever really tried to love you like I love you What sad memory of yesterday, what terrible scar Keeps you gathering the pieces of your shattered heart? There was once upon a time when hope was living within I know there will come another time when you can believe again Ain't nobody gonna say goodbye, no ain't nobody gonna walk away This time, baby, I'm learning how to love you, love you Ain't nobody gonna make you cry No ain't nobody ever really tried to love you like I love you How long have you been feeling lonely? How long have you been sad and blue? This time, baby, I'm learning how to love you, love you Ain't nobody gonna make you cry No ain't nobody ever really tried To love you like I love you This time, baby, I'm learning how to love you, love you Let me love you like I love you

@@samking6335 Love the video! I see it as being about reflection. Looking inward and also how the water magnifies things, brings the small things into view. Love the concept. I don't understand how this single was not a hit. I never heard it on the radio but it's my favorite track from Behind the Eyes.

Kassandra Foos I will never forget the day that you left my life and this world forever on July 6 of 2022. We were together for almost five years and even though I was not always the best guy you still loved me more than I probably deserved. I have commented on a lot of songs on KZitem that make me think of you and I probably will not stop anytime soon. Kassie, I love you even though you are no longer in this life and I look forward to the day we are finally reunited.
