I didn’t know Odie got married. I also wasn’t aware of all the back story of the AT Hiker Yearbook. Very interesting interview and interesting man. Thank you both.

Wow, what an incredible interview. And in itself, a very simple memorial to the Appalachian Trail community, and the value it offers and gives.❤😊

Met Odie and his wife on my 2023 AT thru hike at Pine Grove Iron Works. Very nice gentleman; gave a nice talk at the near by AT museum.

I met Odie in 17 and crossed paths in 19, but never saw him in 20 in which i hiked over 1000 miles. I hope to see him in the future as i hike the rest of my life.

I met Odie a couple of times. Once was at Boots Off. I just wanted to hug his face off but controlled myself and gave him a fist bump. Met him again and his fiancé at Trail Days. They were giddy with happiness. Odie is an AT icon and special individual for sure. ❤️

Old Dog, 100 years from now when hikers sit around a campfire and someone mentions your name would you prefer the others respond "oh yeah, he's cool" or "who"?
