I don’t really resonate with the design here, but the fact that the children were involved in the construction is such a beautiful thing! As they said, this house would likely be not sold, and it will be a beautiful token to them and the future generations. Such a heartfelt idea! Absolutely love it.

I can honestly say this is the first concrete structure I have seen that doesn't feel like Brutalist Architecture. The ample glazing and tropical setting certainly help with that, but I do agree that the formwork and human scaling of the details really do create a warmth and hominess I have not experienced with other concrete buildings. And as a Californian, I certainly appreciate that it's also 99% wildfire proof! Well done team!

I appreciate how solid it appears and am sure actually is. I would have opted for lighter and more colorful finishes instead of black and charcoal on painted walls and furnishings, but that may be because I'm losing my vision.

What a love about this channel is to look at the beautiful locations in Australia and NZ. I visited in the early 2000s and was so impressed by the natural beauty and great quality of life. Also the photography of these videos are so well done. Top notch.

Black is such an interesting choice. It’s sometimes imposing, but when used tastefully like in this case, it feels very natural and fitting of the natural environment. Takes a skilled architect to really get it right and not feel like a “lair,” especially when it’s on a beachfront setting like in this case.

Whoever edits these! Beautiful homes, but I never have any conception of space or layout. The shots seem rather arbitrary, cycling without progression between outside, kitchen, bedroom, etc... I lose spacial sense, which is so deeply important in architecture. What does it feel like to move through this house? To experience it the way it is intended, as a guest would entering and taking a look around?

Creating environments that were both functional and humane, focused not only on a building's appearance but how it would connect with and enrich the lives of those inside it. Moreover, at its core, his organic design philosophy states that architecture holds a relationship with its time and place. - - Frank Lloyd Wright

It doesn't look like a sand castle, but it's amazing what you did with the concrete. Please don't tell me you cut down any of those GORGEOUS trees to build there. Overall, it seems kind of "forced" into a place it doesn't belong and the interior seems like a maze you could easily get lost in.

Lovely home, the concrete faux wood is perfect for that environment. I Can't understand why they dont put a few dollars into some landscaping, the fake sheets of grass is really tacky. Honestly, sand or dirt would make it look like a 'sandcastle', the faux just looks cheap.

I feel the structure itself is a bit oversized and heavy; but what I really feel is off is the decor. Dark, dated in places, without much personality or individual feel, and with little relation to the environment and the style of the house.

I mostly like the house and the location is amazing. However, can someone please tell designers/developers that the hideous frosted glass garage doors look tacky with any style of house, never looked good with any style house, will never look good with anything but an entirely frosted glass house, and nobody wants that.
