As a citizen let me be the first to say: well done and proud that there are people like you who have willfully served our nation!

Thank you for this video, I loved seeing where you've been. And like you, I enjoyed every bit. I tell folks that I ran away from hard work (farm labor), to sail around the world, drinking beer and chasing skirts.

Awesome- My last 5 years as a SFC and occasional acting 1SG, just over 22yrs active- the stories we can tell. I still have my framed NCO creed my 1SG gave me back in 1996 when I was up in Alaska. Did BNCOC right there at Ft. Lewis across from the airfield and down from 75th Reg. Retired back in 2011 and you will miss certain things and you wont miss certain things. The real world experience you have will carry on and times you will act as a 1SG just as you were before. Keep sharing that knowledge and continue to learn as you grow into your civilian life. Keep your standard and dont slack- youll be amazed how many people will come to you for advice. Maintain and live the warrior ethos and back your actions with that NCO creed. Congrats on your retirement and dont get bored too soon. Keep us updated as your journey continues- Carry On-

One of the best First Sergeants I’ve had the opportunity to serve with. I am proud to call you my friend. Thank you for your service and for your passion for developing Soldiers.

Hey 1SG, I won my Brigades NCO of the quarter board this morning and I have to say I have you to thank for it. I'm back in TRADOC as a MOS-T, and my sponsors kept having to drop me due to other things they had to support. I listened to your entire playlist, I dug deep into the regs, and I came out on top. Just wanted you to know I appreciate the work you're doing here

One thing I regret is not taking more pictures and videos, I’ve forgotten so much and did some really cool stuff and not a lot of pictures.

If I can turn out half as good as the way you did with your career, 1SG, I’d consider it a success overall.

As a question of curiosity, how come you are not SGM or a CSM? Or did you choose not to be and do your 20 and out? As for the retirement, you will definitely miss some of the stuff, I know I do. The unit I was with is deploying in a few months and I wish my phone would ring and it be them asking me to go. It will never happen but if it did, I'd be so ready to go.
