Lisa discusses her history with asthma the day after having her last asthma attack and the "aha" moment that took place while in urgent care receiving a breathing treatment.
It is worth mentioning that asthma attacks don't always look like what you may think. No one around me was aware that I was having trouble breathing. I am grateful for my supervisor, who allowed me to go and get treated without hesitation.
Please note that this podcast was recorded a day after the asthma attack, so although I (Lisa) was feeling better, you may hear some coughing, slight wheezing, and loss of voice at times during this broadcast.
Update: I was still coughing and wheezing several days after recording this podcast. I returned to urgent care for another breathing treatment, which also meant more money, smh, but, prayerfully, I will have clear lungs and be able to sing, speak and more importantly, breathe freely!
