Teddy displayed good patience during this interview. When you have such an interesting guest who has a ton of great things to say, Teddy just let him go, and occasionally interjected to move on to the next line of watches as needed for time. I ended up watching until the end. Great interview Teddy, and yes that Teutonia IV chrono is stunning!

I agree. Thilo Muhle is not a marketing guy. He’s a German (so details tend to matter more) who is deeply committed to the craft and has faith that “if you build it, they will come”. As a result, Thilo didn’t concern himself with the attention span of the common viewer. But if you’re interested in the long form story (as I am), it’s a great video. Teddy continues to move this channel forward!

Having worked my entire career for a German firm, many years ago when I had to select a watch for my 25th anniversary, I lucked out in the fact that the local jeweller who was one of the selected suppliers carry Mühle. I had never heard of the brand, but was immediately struck by the clean, crisp design, the excellent workmanship and finish, and the no nonsense approach. I left that day the proud owner of a 29er big, white face and brown leather strap. It has been my daily wear ever since and in all those years it hasn't missed a beat, it is a conversation starter with other watch fans and it really straddles both the casual and dress/work roles perfectly. It was wonderful to hear Thilo speak about the family firm and the passion and use-case led approach has left me, if anything, more impressed by them. I wish Thilo and all at Mühle continued success and thanks for shining a spotlight on such an honest, but mainly (undeservedly) unknown brand Teddy - great content as ever!

I recently purchased the Terrasport II on Teddy's website. It's going to arrive tomorrow. I am a huge fan of simple, no nonsense, easy to read watch faces I love the company's down to earth approach to watch making. I also support these independent, still family owned businesses. I hope this stays that way. Another independently, family owned German watch making company is Archimede. I highly recommend both companies. Thank you Teddy for doing what you do. You are the best.

The SAR is the English Bull terrier of the watch world. Never experienced a tougher watch. Exudes quality, time keeps with the best and that lume! 😍. I probably gave this watch the biggest knock against my door knob, ever. I squinted, looked at my crystal... nothing; looked at the knob, dent. I own Rolex, Omega, Panerai , Cartier, GP and Tudor. This watch sits at the round table with them all.

Added a 29ER Big to my collection just a few days ago. Absolutely love the watch, the case, the exhibition back, the bracelet, how it wears...it's getting to be one of my favorites. Fun fact: Muhle regulates their watches a hair fast intentionally (+1 sec/day) as they believe it's better to be a little early than late.

I'm a huge fan of Muhle Glashutte! Bought the full lume (white) dial SAR and was so happy with that, I picked up a ProMare Go before it was (sadly) discontinued. My SAR is the perfect daily "beater" watch, and the ProMare Go is such a great summer or vacation watch that can be dressed up or down and can also be taken swimming or the beach. Both watches have been very accurate and durable. MG watches are so underrated.

Videos like this cut through and give people a much clearer view on the industry, so well done.

As an engineer, I was very interested to hear this story line. It’s amazing that they were able to keep their hands on the family business while being part of the GDR “eastern block” for as long as they did. The vision never died. The efforts were about the dream. Their instruments are some of the best! I thought the explanations of the dial made so much sense. And the belief you cannot destroy by human hands is an amazing statement.

Very well done interview. Love what this brand is doing. Bought a SAR with white dial last year.
