With its cool fresh air and golden colours, autumn can only bring joy each season.
Following such a heavy year, I wanted to create a video for you all that felt like an escape and a chance to catch your breath.
So there is no travel checklist, no how-tos or must-sees. Just hear the wind and leaves and imagine you're cocooned in autumn, the way I felt in Vermont. I'm using this video to relive the season right alongside you.
For those who can travel to the area, and are wanting to experience it yourself, The Landmark Trust USA own all the places you can stay or visit.
Naulakha is not a museum, so not open to the public, but is available to rent as holiday accommodation: landmarktrustu...
Kipling's Carriage House is also available to rent: landmarktrustu...
The Sugarhouse where Jamie and I stayed is more affordable and perfect for 2 people: landmarktrustu...
These properties are along the same road, but if you are walking in the area, please keep in mind there are people paying to stay at these properties.
Along this same road is the Scott Farm, where you can do heirloom apple orchard tours on select days, pick your own apples, or shop at their farm stall. We walked down each day to try something new. The team keep their Facebook page up to date with the latest information: / scottfarmorchard
To walk the Scott Farm loop trail (a 1.25-mile walk), which takes you through the woods behind Naulakha, you'll start at the farm and follow the sign. scottfarmvermo...
